Bernica, did your friend check to see if the cash was counterfeit first?

And here in Silicon Valley, that better be Jeremy Irons showing up with those 14 dump trucks full of gold bars, if they'll be wanting to buy one of our homes. ;)

Just FYI, NYG is alive and well and you agreed with him on this thread :)

Personally I think NYG adds a little color to the forum, his posts seem to help promote the self serving biases we all have and hold so dear lol. Or, in the case of our child members, a chance to cut lose with a full blown temper tantrum

Well, if I was truly a one-percenter, then I'd be buying the Real One. :p

He followed them to BofA and verified every cent and called his attorney. Once all verified, the deal went through like sh_t through a goose!;)

I was born in Redwood City at Sequoia Hospital and our main office was in Santa Clara, so I know the area. Too much for me just being a dumb-ass carpenter. I could never keep up with you folks.;)

i know i will never own a Cobra. won't lose sleep, never a bucket list, never met carroll shelby, wasn't born in the 50s or 60s, too young for vietnam, never had a cobra poster as a kid, never bought into cobra hype or lies.

now if you're taking hot rod cars that poses as a Cobra, sure, it's on my car list but its not pressing.. it was before.. not now.. many other hobbies...just looked at gordon parks gelatin photos for sale, private seller.. really want but I might have to cut back from Iams dog food to generic brand after purchase.

i got time for hot rod cobras. plenty out there... more sellers than buyers.. its just a hotrod... not losing sleep or anxiety... but I have come to a conclusion i really like an alloy body cobra. fiberglass makes me itch. it's a mental thing. no matter how shiny the paint I will know it's still fiberglass.. so that changed.. i'd prefer a hot rod cobra in alloy body.. and I can buy a cobra badge and glue to the dashboard.. in the end, badges do matter :))

rumor is Evan(real1) is buy a gt3? anybody here actually know why he is switching? he bled shelby and registry and now, he's quitting the cobra world ? that's sad... he packed up and left.. and yall still talking about him...

DanEC 03-04-2016 05:22 AM

A hot rod Cobra with an aluminum body:eek: Now that should stir something up.

Joe's Garage 03-04-2016 08:55 AM

NYG, give alloycars a call, they can put you in an alloy cobra MKV for under $50K and you can have them fit it with chevy power to make
shelby's original dream come true

My name is not Thor maine but I bet he approves this message.

I kicked tires on an autokraft cobra with a mustang engine. the seller asked for too much; he also thought his cobra was real.

anyways, this thread is about real1(evan) selling his cobra. best of luck, sir! get top dollar. psst, here's a tip. forget gt3! That's old news.
get a 2017 911R. and u will be the envy at every car show, PCA event, grown men will melt & beg for rides. the car crowd will crown u King! ego stroked. deja vu.

That's a great idea. NYG, here's their website:

Untitled Page

Order now, operators are standing by.

Then, all you would have to do is slap a badge on it. Anywhere, it doesn't matter where, because as NYG said, "badges matter." And badge placement matters less.

Speaking of badges, I'll bet you didn't know that Clapton's tune "Badge" was named that way because he was unable to read the upside down "placement" of the word "Bridge" as written by his good friend George Harrison, and he misread it as "Badge." And it stuck. Just thought you'd like to know that when it comes to badges, or bridges, placement does indeed matter....

Thor maine 03-04-2016 12:22 PM

My name is ThorMaine and yes a alloy or glass body HotRod that is shaped like a Cobra on a square tube or space frame (or a hybrid of the two) chassis, with all modern Corvette suspension and a GM LS drivetrain I dare any of you tell me that is not a superior car in everyway to the Real AC-SHELBY-FORD- COBRA or those genuine kit cars made by some derivative Shelby American,,, I dare you !!!!

So, some kid with more money than brains will come up to one of us and say something like, "how much?"

And we will sigh, rub the right eyebrow, crack a small smile and then reply with some out of this world amount.

The youngster will grin a great grin and pause for a moment for effect, then say, "okay."

Yup all this commentary is priceless and it is why we are CC. Evan never got it.

Tru

Bernica 03-04-2016 12:29 PM

I dare someone to take a Corvette Grand Sport replica and put a REAL FE engine in it!
Now, does that sound like sacrilege? Or does it only work one way?;)

trularin 03-04-2016 12:32 PM

Fork that...

I trip-in-dicular-slap-the-side-knot dare you.

Unless it is on a day of the week that ends in "y".

When asked, I simply reply "I have no idea..it depends on the day, the sun, the moon and the weather".;)

And I agree on the commentary here...priceless!:3DSMILE:
