Those ridiculous Cayenne, Cayman and Boxster owners would just be discussing attractive lease rates and the best engine oil and waxes.

As the owner of a number of air-cooled Porsches, I'd have to say.....hahaha, how right you are. Don't forget discussions of originality....dear god, cobra owners have no idea how carried away people can get. I swear people aren't washing their cars nowadays because they don't want to wash off any of the "original '60s patina" (dirt).

And if Evan does bring it out to Monterey to auction it off, we should gather everyone together from Club Cobra, and then I'll treat everyone to Triple Quesalupa's from the local Monterey or (Carmel) Taco Bell.

And what wine is a perfect match for a Triple Quesalupa?
Evan could do well in Monterey if he got exposure at places like The Quail and others.;)

Yep, you're right. I'm sure you heard about the uproar over Seinfeld overpaying for a well-used rusty, but all original, '58 Speedster, and not restoring it. The horror of it all.

You guys can eat the processed food with a half-life, I'll be having the butternut squash and asparagus tips with water for dinner at one of the finer establishments in Carmel. :p

Apparently 11.5%... But I'm thinking there's imho 30-35% fat in it.
Confused? Don't worry, I'm betting RK gets it ;)
Best of luck to the seller and buyer!

Just finished my Big Fat Chicken Taco from Del Taco and washed it down with a nice cold ginger ale (Thomas Kemper or course!). My last stress test went through like that sh%t through a goose and BMI is good.
See? You guys sucked me back in to getting off topic again!
Back to topic...

BMI? "We" don't use that measurement anymore. Well that's a topic for another time.
They actually call it the "Big Fat Chicken Taco"?
To bring it back on topic, maybe it's the hood rivet pattern that's holding back the sale of Evan's car?

I wish the Vernon's Estate would post the selling price. I would hate to speculate and I'm sure it would have no bearing on Evan's price unless he raised it another $20,000 to $279,000.

I saw someone take a poke at him on the "other site" about those rivets. Hell, I don't know if mine are wrong or right and don't really care! Not something that keeps me up at night.

I'm just spitballin' here, but when you get to the $250,000 level for a CSX4000, and your CSX4000 is purported to be "authentic" as they come, some potential buyers may be peculiar enough to be particular about hood rivet patterns. Crazy as that sounds.

Yes, it may be the finest most authentic replica of a Shelby Cobra in existence.
And Evan's CSX4206 is roughly $100,000 +/- more than "Vernon Estate's" CSX4227, which recently sold and was asking $160,000.
|
I guess you guys forgot about the blue car. Asking $149,999 and its still there ?? WHY is that ????? Go Evan !!!!!! He is getting more free advertising here!!! As others have said who should care besides the buyer and seller.

"Why is that?" Uh, the "blue car" is a Kirkham, not a Shelby. I thought Mr. Estes' brushed aluminum finish CSX would be a better comparison, since both Evan's and Vern's have the extra $20 worth of plastic CSX badges that Dave's blue KMP doesn't.
Personally, I'd rather buy/own the "blue car", because I'd rather have the extra $100,000+ in the bank PLUS get the dry sump. But that's just me. ;)

Just think about the amount of advertising he could get, if he were offering free Quesalupa's.
