University-educated-Cobra-owning-FE intake-finding-in-the-park-while-I'm-out-for-a-run Aussie trolls are the worst.

I came here years ago and when I joined it was a great place for collaboration, checking part numbers, tuning etc.

I also used my own name for my "handle" because I didn't see a reason to hide.

I am on LinkedIn and anyone is welcome to know who I am.

How many of you can do the same?

patrickt 03-27-2016 08:23 PM

I've probably got 8,000 or more posts here that could be classified as "trollish."

No problem. I've been ignoring them for years.

Yeah I can agree. its about legitimacy, and proving it. ok. i think we all can agree if you spend that kind of capital, you deserve something. but don't force it on folks. if thats what the trolls need, more power to them. this site is great for information on non-real cobras which is the really interesting content, because of the volume and variety. not so good if you need to prove yourself to the world.

I have been contacted by the Trolls Alliance and they have asked that all associations between themselves and certain members of this forum shall cease, or they will sue for defamation of character ;)

I'll tell you "funny" and what is trolling. When someone posts his thoughts on the Cobra experience to a new member and potential buyer and has ZERO Cobra experience, doesn't own one and likely never will. That's a troll.

And a troll is someone who posts eBay auctions for an SPF and CSX Slabside, in a discussion about 427 values. Then can't spot the differences between the two slabsides. That's a troll.

Joe's Garage 03-28-2016 09:09 AM

... "funny" started with NYG on his 1st post as a CC member -

Buy the best, either a Kirkham or CSX. Spend $100K for roller, $35K for engine, add $10K for bling parts. Only then, you will either be a Cobra guy or not.

No one can say this know-it-all troll snuck up on us :)

Ah, thank you! classic and true. roll to any old timer car show and watch the mouths drop when a Kirkham alum hot rod shows up to the party. the guys with FFR home kits or fiberglass cobra hot rods drool at the shiny alum. now watch the mouths gasp at seeing an old carb turkey pan FE. nothing beats the look of sour grapes

your insecurity is showing again. adopt a pet, mistress, wife, have a baby. U got too much free time.

Evan (real1) said good-bye to the Cobra hobby world with a big F-U, but u can't let him go. keep talking about him like a girl dumped at the prom. u posted 300x in the Evan Tribute thread, giving him advice how to sell his Shelby. I don't see u talking smack about new owner of csx4206? New owner apparently liked the stories and the badges.

in the end, u do care about the shelby badges.

A classic post from a troll.

Here's a few more:

Looks like a chick car, then and now

A slabside is a "chick's car"? Who's "insecure" now? Time to look in the mirror NYG.

You've already embarrassed yourself trolling ebay cobra listings, cutting/censoring seller ads and calling them "outrageous"

might i suggest u worry about your day job and let cobra guys whatever they want

Let's accuse Bill of being troll.

Now here's one of your classic troll posts, where you take on Kirkham, Shelby, Denbeste and McCluskey all in one post.

cobra guys will forget and forgive McCluskey for faking chassis. I'm told he and his company does great car restoration.

Mr. Kirkham calls these 'cars' a work of art? are they? most art and art historians judge art by artists and originality, one offs. Picasso painted himself. he didn't hire a team to mix his paints or paint for him.

if the facts are correct, there are 2 new 'competition' Cobras, built by two different companies with one car part source- DonBeste. is that art or just great forgery?

I spent my youth plugged into the art scene in NYC and interned at Sotheby's NYC. This type of 'shelby art" would be considered as forgery and a crime. no respected gallery, art historian, or museum would do business like Shelby.

I guess car art is different. car people will pay top dollar for a really good story.

go back to MrMustang quote on page 1 of this thread, "greed makes good people do..."

One last time for me. The IGNORE feature does work. I'm done here.

Dangerous Doug 03-28-2016 09:00 PM

Man, this thread evolved into a troll feeding trough.

I don't have the time or patience for troll drivel. Adding to my ignore list---and I rarely add anyone to my ignore list. Good advice, Tommy. I'm taking it.
