I was talked into showing up at a car show at the NHRA museum a few years ago. Turned out that it was sponsored by KitCar Magazine and FFR and was full of FFR's, Arntz, Butler and others. All great cars and I was quite impressed. Very proud owners and every car unique. That's what's it all about, I think.;)

My next Cobra project , I am looking for Arntz/Butler change the front end to a Fast Cars IFS and an all aluminum Small Block Chevy stroked to around 427 cubes +/- with Fuel Inj all tied to a nice 5spd. A perfect replica.

At first I thought they must've splashed it off a Contemporary, but the rear of the body looks too accurate for that :3DSMILE::3DSMILE:

That's what NYG needs in his Cobra, should he ever buy one - a 796 CC engine producing "approximately 37 bhp." The four-valve version of the engine producing 45 HP would probably be too powerful for his liking, methinks. https://www.wikiwand.com/en/Maruti_800

Well I guess they will win the "miles per gallon" portion of the contest. Maruti 800?

Maruti 800 is a small city car that was manufactured by Maruti Suzuki in India from 1983 to 2013.[3] First generation (SS80) was based on 1979 Suzuki Fronte and had an 800cc F8B engine, hence the moniker. Widely regarded as the most influential automobile in India, about 2.87 million 800s were produced during its course of which 2.66 million were sold in India itself.[4]

With over 30 years of production, Maruti 800 remains the second longest production car in India, next only to Hindustan Ambassador.

Could you hook 3 or 4 of them together?

I'd like to hear when someone puts one of the new GT350 Voodoo flat-plane crank engines in a Cobra. Whoever does it, I hope they take a lot of pics!;)

If they run side pipes I wonder what their reaction will be to the sound... just a 2500cc pinto in-line four on of each side 90° out of phase from the other...

Bernica 04-20-2016 04:38 PM

Interesting question, since I'm sure the GT350 blends the exhaust with an X-pipe or similar.
