Divorce Sale

I understand one of her biggest complaints was his lack of detail when giving descriptions of things for sale...

OH helllllyes! 9 sec. 302's are a dime a dozen. Gotta wonder if there are timeslips to back that claim, of if it was just "calculated" from a program of some sort.

Maricopa Mike, what more information could you possibly want? Cobra, 302, 9 sec, $30K. Sez it all for me.

jwd 07-17-2016 12:25 PM

700HP 302? Probably half that but 700, no way in he!!.

I think there was another reason why there is a divorce sale based on the description, or lack thereof

It costs a lot of money to even get from the 11's to the 10's, let alone getting into the 9's! And I don't think I have seen a 302 pull it off. If it could, it would cost more than the asking price for the whole car, IMHO.;)

fordracing65 07-17-2016 01:32 PM

That's what happens when kissing in a cobra.

DanEC 07-17-2016 01:45 PM

Maybe he has a 300 hp NOS system on board or he meant an 1/8 mile track.

Thor maine 07-22-2016 10:12 AM

Remember the guy from the "Run and Gun" in Kit Car Magazine, Stormin Normin? I think he had a AC AutoKraft with a 302 and he was pulling 9's ??? Been a long time .

razerwire 07-22-2016 10:32 AM

In one of the pics it looks like the engine is missing an intake.

Normans car (ran 11.07 at Atco in 1991) was anything but a "302", plus, it was also boosted to the point of no return. ;)

Ace23 07-22-2016 12:43 PM

If you threw that thing out of the back of an airplane it couldn't free fall the 1/4 in the 9's

G-Pete 07-22-2016 07:02 PM

That looks like a junk yard to me..

She's already taking stuff!!!**)

My good friend went through a nasty one and she found her way into his garage and poured 2 cans of paint remover all over his 100 point concourse Jaguar, a week before he was supposed to be at Pebble Beach. Things can get rough I guess.

jhv48 07-22-2016 08:57 PM

With the money they get from the sale, they're going to add a room to their double-wide.

Gaz64 07-22-2016 09:26 PM

2.32hp per cube.

These days you are doing really well if you get 1.5.

Must have some 7:1 pistons, 25 +lbs boost, and 250 Of NOS.

Or 302 should read 460?

moore_rb 07-23-2016 09:31 AM

Hey- the Kidney-Bean wheels are cool...

You can get it TODAY (all 700 HP) for only $25,0000... But only if you act NOW:

HONEY!?! - Where's my check book?!?!?...

Karl Bebout 07-23-2016 09:48 AM

Oh, DUH. Must be a 302 CHEVY.

I'd bet $15K-$20K cash would get the job done and then you'd have a nice "project".

Three Peaks 07-23-2016 10:08 AM

I'm pretty sure you would have to be sitting in the passenger seat to read a couple of those guages.

Well, you'd certainly have a project.... not sure how "nice" it would be... ;)

total teardown/rebuild.

But it basically looks like it would be a complete Classic Roadsters kit, once it was all dissassembled....

And, I've got the manual on how to put it back together
