Yes, I have heard of it. Usually once a week I have it with my sushi.

Why would you want to throw a cover over the Mona Lisa? :D:p

in general you can not reach it,
but a largely perfect cobra replica is not that problem
thats the good issue with cobra compared to other classics,
the originality varies from car to car

....and btw, my body is painted ;)

What you left was a blank canvas.

What I left alone is a work of art in all its glory. Paint just masks the beauty and shape of the alloy body. :)

Not a fan of LS engines in a Cobra but to each his own. Hell ... Gas Monkey Garage just put an LS3 in a Porsche 996...... I'm sure that has some Porsche fanatics pulling their hair out over the travesty of American muscle in their German ingenuity. Never heard a Porsche sound so good!!!

As far as the car show conversation 99% goes more like this...

Owner: "Yes siree, it's a Cobra"

Car Show Attendee: "Is that a real 60s Shelby Cobra?"

Owner: "Er, uh, um, no.....replica"

Car Show Attendee: "Oy vey."

You're correct, but I started with the 2nd half of the car show conversation. Once we determined the car was a replica.

That's just criminally insane. I'm assuming that's why the show has "monkey" in its name, because they've got the brains of monkeys.

The appreciation for the fact that a car is even a replica is becoming less and less. The level of sophistication at car shows, when it comes to "Cobra looking cars," has diminished significantly in the last decade.

No, I'm referring to the average car show kibitzer. You're still just as bright as you've always been.%/

WOW! I just was poking a little fun at Evan Real1 and that he is no longer on here (he was a pain in the ass but fun and it is a little boring around here now) and again you all go into the Ford vs CHEVY wars. Love it!

Well, I guess the average IQ at car shows in Silicon Valley is bit higher than where you're located. %/

Actually, it always seems to go like this with me...

Car Show Attendee: Is that a real Cobra?

Me: Yes (both of us staring at the EFI on top of the LS engine)

Car Show Attendee: Nice! I had a Cobra many years ago! It had a 426 Side Oiler Hemi in it!

Me: Wow! I bet that was powerful!

Car Show Attendee: Yeah...it did 250 MPH.

Me: Off a cliff?

Honestly, that is just about how the conversations go.

You see I have a BS meter. If I hear BS, then I'll just confront people with the BS. What do I care? If someone claims they have an accurate replica with a fiberglass body, then I'll just let them know they're either delusional or pathological liar.

My other alternative to the conversation is to just walk away from the conversation while the "most accurate replica" owner is in mid-sentence. I'm becoming a curmudgeon.

So this is your idea of a "most accurate replica": Aluminum Cobra
