Black, Blue, or Green

All are pretty sweet, but basic black is never wrong!

I dislike green. A lot. So, no green for me. Tough call, but for a street car, and given that particular shade of blue, I'd pick black. Typically, I'm a huge fan of blue. |
the green should be darker, then green, and white signal lights please :)

Mine was British racing green (the actual jaguar paint code) my Mustangs were black. I will never get a dark color again. They show all the dust to minutes after cleaning and worse is that the microscratches and swirls show in sunlight. Expect to get a professional detailing once a year. Blue is best.

Green all the way. It says race car color from the 1960's. Then black. No blue.

I'd go green, they look better in person than photos do justice. Black is best for showroom only. Dirt and dust spoil it. Blue is every other cobra, so given the choice I'd pass. |

Are you keeping it? Or building it for resale?
If resale, then no green (Trust me- I have intimate personal experience in this area ;) ) The only buyers that entertain green cars are the 10% or so who are looking specifically for a green car; and even then; if you get the shade of green wrong, they might still pass on it... Black is also a riskier color for a resale - some buyers will pass on what is otherwise "the perfect car for me, if only it wasn't black" Blue is safe- Red car lookers will buy a blue car, black car lookers will buy a blue car, and blue car buyers are already the largest percentage of the resale buyers' population to begin with.... Now, if you are keeping it for yourself, then you should delete this whole thread, and paint it whatever color you see yourself enjoying the most (which for me would be option 3: Vineyard Green) :cool: |
For a street car I'm partial to British Racing Green - but the green car is not BRG - as others have pointed out it would need to be darker. It may well also be more difficult to sell, as has already been pointed out as well.

Better green now? BTW, like a lot of men I'm partial red/green color blind, so this is difficult for me (: Besides, all monitors show color differently. I'm actually using a calibrated monitor which shows things MUCH darker than they do on other monitors I use at work, and on personal devices.

IMO, the shade doesn't matter. With all due respect to lovers of the color green out there, green just blends in with the scenery. There are automatic gates and fences in my area painted that color in order to blend in with the foliage.
But it is a marked improvement or step-up from beige. :) |
