First my eyes focused on the blue background and I couldn't work out what it was - so lets see the rest of the steering wheel.

Nick,
I've always gone form and function over bling, if it made it ride better, handle better, stop faster, or go quicker, it was for me (strictly unchromed and unpolished), but have been known to clean and wax the body, steam clean my wheels and my suspension at times

Double sided taped a convex mirror over the drivers side mirror. Now I can actually see cars in the next lane. Preferred alternative (for me) than remounting up on the windshield.

Not into bling....not my thing....to each his own...
I was looking a a blinged up Superformance at Barrett Jackson several years ago with Lance and told him " I know pimps that wouldn't be seen in that car "
I think he laughed....

Does the delightful speckling added by pebbles and road debris to the front of my car count?

I haven't added anything to mine. I just want it to run and handle well and it is by no means a show car with all of the scrapes and chips, so I spend my money of upkeep and trying to keep it functional.

Yeah, but Ron....don't you ever get the urge to add some 'period correct' or 'period reminiscent' bits, just for the fun of it....'cos that's what they would have done back in the '60s...just like Ken did with his preference of a different brand/type of tacho....or whatever else?
Cheers
Glen

Glen,
Actually no I don't. Mine isn't an original and it sure isn't a show car. I have replaced the roll cage padding the past week but that is for safety purposes. The 69 NASCAR Cobra is pretty much the way they delivered it to me and I haven't chromed anything on it either.

I know from the tone of some of these posts that "bling" with this crowd reflects additions that add realism with the desire to replicate original specs. And to those folks I humbly apologize for the following...
Us FFR folk often add "unnecessary" bling to our cars, with many eschewing the "original" theme in favor of creature comforts and "bling". I guess I fall into that category. My ride looks very traditional in many ways, but once the engine compartment or trunk are opened, my OCD shines.
So with apologies to the originalists, here are several mods I made:
Front lower fan shroud:
Installed:
Upper fan shroud(and hella tri-air horn:
Engine bay brightness:
My very first engine turned piece, which I later shaped into a gauge bezel:
Trunk:

I took it from him.
Oh, and yes, that's the same car. Like most FFR guys will tell you, it's still not done.
