Shelby American Collection annual fundraiser 9/3/2016 photos
The Shelby American Collection is located near Boulder, CO. The museum houses a large collection of original Shelby Cobras, Daytona Coupes and GT40s along with some other historic Shelby vehicles. Behind the cars is a huge amount of "shop" memorabilia (one corner is from Holman Moody). In addition to the vehicles owned by Steve Volk the significant portion of the Larry Miller collection now resides at this location, with other vehicles on somewhat permanent loan by their owners. This includes the recently acquired original first Cobra, CSX2000, that was recently purchased from Carroll Shelby's estate.
They have an annual fundraiser that draws a large crowd and usually quite a few of the remaining original Shelby crew and drivers. It used to be a Christmas holiday event and Carroll used to come quite often, but a few years ago as his health was failing the time was shifted to the fall.

Arrival
Ford GT. This guy picked up an allocation for a new GT and thinks it may be the only one in Colorado.
This is CSX2052 (an early 260 car) and is my favorite Cobra at the museum. Why? Because Peter Werlin drives the snot out of it during the summer and it's a resident at the museum during the winter
Inside with CSX2000. Carroll Shelby's original first Cobra.
Lower area showing blue paint chipped away and showing the yellow color that it was shown with. There was supposed to be a door chip somewhere showing additional colors but I couldn't find it.
CSX2000 was sitting next to the Miller Daytona Coupe CSX2299
