Back in the sixties when cobras were a new thing I built a model and painted it poppy orange. I still like it. In fact I am in the process of buying one in tangerine.

It comes back from paint in a couple weeks...some modifications were made to accommodate the larger rear tires. I will post a few pictures when Humpty-Dumpty is one-piece again.

Steve - It was never destined for the salt...Doc fell ill before too many runs (3 one-mile runs specifically) could be made, sadly. It is a badass ride...he did well!

A friend of mine in Oklahoma City had an orange one. That was 1970.

I posted a few images of this race at Sebring that I had received from someone along the way on the SAAC forum page today. There were 20 images. One of which was of an orange COBRA. It dawned on me there was a thread over here discussing orange COBRA's

I'm guessing 2409 by the orange dragon logo on the door to match the earlier picture in this thread? Or did the Shaw racing team have multiple cars? 24 and 17
