Default Unique Motorcars owners show your stuff!

C'mon guys! Lets see some pics of our beautiful Unique machines. We don't make a lot of noise about our cars but they are still among the best in the business and the company, along with the great family that runs it - the Weavers - deserves some biggin' up!

Here's mine - originally sold in 1988 converted to right hand drive for a life in the tropics. Though I didn't initially assemble her myself (yes, she's a she ) I did a complete body-off rebuild in my garage and I am still amazed by how well it all went together. Still gives me a big thrill after all these years.

I've got a '93 Unique. Original paint and no stress cracks anywhere in the body. The Weavers have been GREAT about sending me parts to update the suspecsion, etc. Not sorry I purchased a Unique. Look in my photo gallery for pictures...many good ones of the car and engine.

I'm sure you have a nice Unique but I never got past the opening 3 pictures in your gallery to see them.

This photo was taken sometime back, but it still looks as good as the day it was finished (although they are never really finished).

Thanks Buzz. the entire build is documented on the Unique owners site under the name "Flintstone Cobra" http://www.uniquecobra.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=57

There is also a video on YouTube of the day we started the engine (some history behind that one) Heres the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fd_XLJn4McU

Ah, now I remember the Flintstone Cobra. I used to frequent the site back then and I recall following the early days of your rebuild. Did you ever find out who was the manufacturer of those great looking seats? Are they the ones now in the Cobra?

For some reason I started having repeated difficulty logging on there and I eventually just stopped trying. Maybe I was banned and they just never told me, Lol!

Thumbs up Arkansas Unique....

Buzz,
Here are some pictures of what was once described as the famous "Spence" car on this forum 7-8 years ago. A search on this site will come up with the sordid details, most of which were not true! After a few false starts by the original owner and 12 years under a tarp in a backyard, my son Brian and I purchased the car and started the build/restoration described here: http://www.uniquecobra.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=54 It is a lengthy tale, but in manageable chapters it is still good reading this time of year. Three years and 4000 miles after completion, it continues to be a great and trouble free ride! Unique makes a great car with a very loyal following.

Bill

Hello Bill - I could never forget the famous "Spence" car. You and Brian did an amazing job of rescuing and recreating that car; and documenting every step of the way too. Sure turned out nice.

I've had my Unique since 1998. It took 6 years to build, but was worth the wait. The Weavers have been great to deal with. I'd highly recommend the Unique product and the Weavers to anyone.
