Yes there is a blind hole, I think most people understood what I meant by my statement, there isn't a spindle and bearings on the spindle.

If your rear hub looks like this, then you can leave the cap off.
http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...41_Medium_.JPG But if your rear hub looks more like this front hub, then you're being dumb not to put a hub cap on it. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...42_Medium_.JPG I'll just add a pic of an original-style Cobra rear hub that does not need a cap on the outside -- for obvious reasons. This hub would not fit my beautiful ERA outboard braked rear, nor any other Cobra that I have actually touched with my fat sticky fingers. http://www.cobraracing.com/Images/XK2904_big.jpg |
Saw this Mercedes C class commercial tonight. Thought it looked familiar.

Yup. Slightly different angle , but that's the place.
Watching the commercials carefully (now there's a dumb suggestion) reveals many local Southern California landmarks. The stretch of coastal highway and beach locations from the northern edge of Malibu to Point Magu are regularly used in commercials, movies and shows. If you drive it enough you will often spot film crews there. The most unusual one, and I can't remember the car make other than it was a convertible, was a car on an extended flatbed truck with the actors in the car surrounded by camera and lighting equipment, filming as the truck drove down the PCH escorted by the Highway Patrol. Truly an iconic stretch of highway. Cheers Greg |
