Ten year anniversary of one of CC's greatest threads!
Coming up on ten years for one of the most entertaining threads here ever IMHO. As many of the current members here have not been around that long, here is the link: http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/all-...5-000-jbo.html
Be warned you need some time and food/drink before you start reading it. I can't believe it's been ten years since Luigi brightened our day.

17 pages and 340 posts. Interesting.

Yes, that's a goodie. But nothing, and I mean nothing, beats the rsimoes disaster. http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/all-...carefully.html We passed its ten year anniversary last September, but it only seems like yesterday that it was going on.

The sad part is, when you go back and read one of those old threads, you remember the members that have passed on, or gotten rid of their cars, or who ended up getting banned for one reason or another.:( rsimoes was really a wealth of fun, goofy threads. Just the ones when he was trying to join the SCOF are absolutely hysterical, even now over a decade later.

That was an excellent thread, but it doesn't encapsulate the other 50 threads rsimoes started, asking about what he should or shouldn't do in terms of outfitting his Kirkham. He spent something like $127,000 and then immediately after finishing sold it for $88,000 +/-. And that was 10+ years ago.
However, if we're nominating best or classic threads, then I loved the one where Evan was tossed from CC. And Joe's Garage got involved too, along with Evan attacking Nedsel:
You know, when I look back at past threads I'm convinced that I've become nicer over the years.

Good times.
I miss Evan. And Chas, too.
Gotta keep it a little spicy.

btw, I fired her up for the first time last weekend since I put her to bed in November. I had a Battery Tender on her, so I just cranked it four or five times, with the ignition disabled, until I saw the oil pressure needle move a little. Then I filled the front bowl up via the vent tube, it took about six ounces or so, then enabled the ignition and she fired up nicely on the second crank. No leaks, no moans, no groans, no backfires -- all is well.

I miss Chas and how he used to keep Patrick "in line." He would have loved giving Patrick some S about that Trigo spinner thread of Patrick's. Holy cow that would have been good entertainment.

I may getting my Cobra out of the garage this Saturday too. We'll see. There's a car show that benefits the local high school that I may go to and I don't have to wake up at dawn to get there.

I've gotten nicer. Partly because of flagging testosterone no doubt but also not feeling the need to impress everybody as much....(says the man with the 427 CI cobra);)

I miss Evan too. It was always entertaining to wind him up and watch him implode.

I bet Computerworks and Jamo are glad he's gone. When it came to website moderation, he was "high maintenance."
And he just kept repeating the same mantra on every thread that he particpated in/on here at CC. OK, I miss giving him a hard time.
Here's one for good old time sake "Ned The Curator." :D

Ron hasn't posted since November 2015.
What about Bernica? He's been gone a long time too.

You know, when long time posters like that just "ghost" off the forum I figure they up and died and their survivors don't know their password to post a little note on it all.:(

I'll be sure to give my family and friends my password here at CC. Along with the map to the buried treasure.

I kind of think that whoever eventually gets your car should also get your username and password.

There have certainly been some entertaining threads in the forums and several people have contributed to them. One of my favorites was the picture that Buzz drew and posted of Evan,Pat, and I believe it was Ernie in their Martial Arts cartoon fight.
