Default Cobra with a M3 (E90) drivetrain with a Dual Clutch Transmission

I am curious if anyone has ever seen a cobra with the drivetrain from a 2008 to 2013 BMW M3, which is the e90,92,93 series which has the 414HP 4 liter V8. I have had 5 cobra replicas and I was thinking about a really interesting and amazingly fun cobra combo. I sold my last superformance in Dec-2017 and bought a 2011 M3 convertible with a supercharger. Considering my drivetrain is powering a 4,000 pound car and has some of the best sounds and makes for great driveability, I thought this has to have been done. As many may read from my prior posts, I like doing things to cars that don't always have a first.

a couple of years ago, I saw a blue cobra video with a cobra and a DCT transmission and it was amazing.

I have had similar thoughts about the Mercedes AMG 63 and their 9 speed box. Not sure about dimensions and electronics/computer though. but suppose that a good aftermarket ECU and skilled tuner could resolve those issues.

unfortunately both of these donor car options would be cost prohibitive. but they would be amazing choices. I've had 5 cobras and while always a thrill to drive, and there is a very lovable brutality to them, from a mechanical perspective, they shift like trucks. Not to say there aren't times when I love that, it's usually the thing that leads me to sell.

Default paddle shift

check out ford raceing they have a system with a paddle shift ,I was going to go this route a few years back.I decided however to go with the tremec 5 speed The ford system offers a complete tried and true but I think there already is a few cobra guys out there.

I got out of Uber complex low volume high ownership cost German iron for the simplicity of an American pushrod powered cobra replica; you’re talking about the S65 engine that made 414 hp at 8300 (!) RPM...it like the v10 it was spawned from (and that I owned at one time) was an EPIC piece of engineering, but in effect were just about full on race engines, with complexity, relability, and repair cost to match.

It would be interesting but you had better be quite the engineer to make and keep it all working...
