Default Pre purchase inspection

Anybody in the Newport Beach Ca area that could do a pre purchase inspection on a first gen Corvette?
Or any recommendations on a specialist that would be available.
Thanks.

This is the outfit I used and within 48 hrs I had not only a written detailed report with tons of supporting pictures and a test drive report.

That seems very affordable - were you happy with the detail of your inspection and was it done properly? What kind of a vehicle did they inspect for you?

I paid nearly $400 for a professional inspection a few years ago on an ERA Cobra. I didn't find it particularly helpful - Several things were missed that were right in view. Basically, I paid for somebody to take some detailed photographs. There was no real exploration done into functioning parts or poor quality of assembly, wear and tear.....

My West Coast Cobra, it was located in San Fco, at the time I was not able to travel due to my job, so I sent this outfit and I was very satisfied. This person was in intricate detail on his report and over 50 pictures of the findings.

Default Pre-inspection

A while back, I used the "Lemon Squad." Very nice to deal with fast service at a reasonable price. The response back was not much more than a checklist and not very comprehensive compared to the previous pre-inspection I had done. several features were not sited: brake lights were out, headers were loose because of broken springs, trunk hinge bolts were striped, several paint chips and scratches that were not photographed however they were very obvious at 10', rear end was leaking ... car came from Arizona. I don't have an issue with the previous owner, just the inspector who obviously didn't perform a through inspection. Maybe he was new to the game, I don't know just saying I won't employ the Lemon Squad again.

i used carchex twice with good results both times. Both time they were gear heads.

Basically you get a bunch of pictures and someone to drive the car to prove it goes down the road and stops and runs OK. Better than nothing if you are going to try to buy remotely.
