Looking for 30 year old Cobra

A friend in France is looking to import a Cobra. He's seeking something built 30 years ago which is needed for import.

Any leads, please send to me at jjgrice55@gmail.com

Thanks

Jeff

Good luck with that. The only Cobra I know of that was built 30 yeras ago, would be a Stallion. They started building them in the 70's or 80's. I have a Kirkham for sale here in the classifieds, that is titled as a 1965' Ford Roadster.

My ERA #325 is now 27 years old so it is probable that any ERA with a serial number under #225 or there-abouts (guessing here) may be in your date range. A call to ERA might confirm that guess.

An Arntz would classify in almost all cases if it were titled before 1989.

The "title year" thing doesn't work. The Eu and Canada for example require proof of first registration. They will no longer just accept "1965" as the year of origination.

There's a 1979 Autocraft in the for sale section here on CC.
A bit pricey though....($750K ) but maybe your friend has the means ??
There were others listed that may work date wise.

We have some AC MK IVs that we can broker, 1985 through 87 so qualify.

My Cobra is not for sale. However, early ERA 427 Cobra's, if they were promptly titled/registered should have documentation at least 30 years old. I have ERA 427 Cobra serial #174 that was first titled in 1987. I am the second owner and very happy with my ERA, it has held up well to the test of time. ERA is still in business and I have found them to be a great company to deal with.

My car is 36 years old. It was build by Unique Motorcars in 1983, and was number #19. If your still looking for a car to buy, PM me and we can talk more.

Again, contact Unique Motorcars as the last poster said. They've been building since '77 and are still in business. The Unique owners are a family.

I bought my FIA two years ago. She was their 6th FIA and spent her first 25yrs on the track as a mountain racer.

Still rock solid.

CCX Cobras date back to March 1979

wow, thats a strong price tag for an "air car", by the time of '79 Brian Angliss had neither rights of AC nor of the trademark "Cobra"...

I sold a Unique last fall that was 27 years old.

There are Unique that are 30 years old.

I have a Contemporary built about 1983 that I would probably sell if the offer is right.
