Nice dashboards

Our Cobras, in general, have really nice dashboards...am I correct? Personally, I think the early 260s and 289s with Smiths gauges are the most appealing, but that's a discussion for another day.

Got to admit though that yes, some other small production run cars have quite adequate planks with gauges as well....and it's a boring day here waiting on hold with Qantas, so killing the time....

If you have some good pictures of nice dashes, please post them :)

Here's a starter from me:

Any guesses what it belongs to?

Cheers,
Glen

Burning a little midnight oil there, are we Glen? :)

That dash looks both attractive and familiar but for the life of me, I can't quite place it. The console treatment with the centrally located switches and radio are again both an attractive and convenient design.

Gotta go back and scratch my noggin some more ...

It’s a Gordon-Keeble. The turtle logo on the center cap of the steering wheel was the only clue that I used. Thank you to the Google Gods.

You can just make out the "Gordon-Keeble" script under the center cluster.

I made mine in aluminium, from scratch as I needed a larger than standard glovebox lid. I used black crackle finish which worked out great, I think.

I wanted to keep to fluids cool and have an uncluttered, unrestricted engine bay. Reservoirs easy to fill with an oil can, with flexible spout.

Hi Ed,

Not midnight oil....I'm in Adelaide, South Australia. It's 9:30am Friday here, and it's 5pm Thursday in CA :3DSMILE:

And yes, it's a Gordon Keeble

Cheers!
Glen

That SR-71 cockpit photo is amazing Spdbrake. The picture not only has stunning resolution and zoom capabilities but also gives a 360 rotation capability to see all parts of the cockpit. I can even zoom in and read the the printing on the roll, pitch and yaw switches! — just stunning!
