Interesting as SAAC says no 427 Cobras had anything except black interiors. Will need to look in the registry.
First met Bill Kolb Jr. when we used the shop at his Ford dealership to do some warranty work on an AC MK IV. The girl he was dating at the time was a Broadway actress/dancer and begged my buddy for a ride. He did take her on a test drive and claims he was offered a "special treat" which he declined.

What a great story. In 1967 @ Pacific Raceways in the pits (Just parked, not racing) was a BRG 427 Street, that car I spent many hours just looking at (I was in LOVE and still am ). Two years later I saw the same BRG 427 Street for sale here in Tacoma Wa. in 1969, for $7000 now the chance of buying that car then, became clear to me though my Father, He explained to a 17yo kid with a part time job will, in no uncertain term's (And he was a Sports car guy, 62 Volvo P-1800, and a New 69 Saab Sonett II ) I would not be a owner of a 427 Cobra Still the flame burned bright, and now I have (Repo) BGR 427SO Street in the garage. It's never too late to make your dreams come true. Cheers TommyRot.

CSX 3125 to CSX3158 were Narrow Hip cars. To me, that’s what makes this car look so special

Cobra Make, Engine: Owned CSX 3121 1969-1975. Went to the dark side and bought a 'Vette. May yet repent and be saved.

My Cobra story has a few, similar twists. In 1969, I was living in Manhattan, owned a Sunbeam Tiger, and was in the process of winding down a painful marriage. On the plus side, I had just met a young thing fresh out of Georgia who would become my second (and forever) bride. Over a lunch at P.J. Clarke's, I explained to my new lady how the best medicine for my still bruised male ego would be the purchase of a 427 Cobra; I even illustrated the discussion with a sketch on a cocktail napkin, which we still have in our memorabilia collection. The following weekend we Tigered out to Long Island to view a Cobra that had been advertised in the New York Times, and supported by $2000 and a post dated check for an additional $4k, CSX 3121 was mine.
The Cobra was family until 1975, and led us to some great times with other Cobraphiles, and a few near death experiences. Since it left us, 3121 has changed hands twice, and I was able to find the current owner a couple of years ago. In the photos that he sent, it appeared unchanged from the day that it left our driveway for the last time.

Was changed out by original owner after a few months to tan leather as the black was too hot.
