Question How many miles or states?

A recent conversation with a friend left me with a question. How many states have you driven your car to. Not trailered driven, and how many miles on you car per year?
Just curious, there can’t be many but I know I’m not the only one.

When I had my ERA 427 it was driven into 6 states and I averaged about 4,000 miles per year. If it was not raining or below 45 degrees I was driving it.

My guess is going to be less than 5 states and less than 1200 miles per year. This may be interesting. Thanks for your contribution.

I enjoyed my trip through Cali except for San Fran and the Golden Gate. So nasty and dirty. That was disappointing but loved Stanislav.

17 to 107 to much rain and and a lot of but you are what I was wondering about. From your part of the country those would be some good rides. Good for you.

No Idea - for the first 20 years did not connect up the speedo. Longest single trip 600 km and 600km rallying back. Used to judge speed by revs which was just as good an indicator as speedo. (40kph/1000 revs). Never got a speeding fine.

There's two way of not getting fine with a Cobra. Drive to slow, it's bad for the ride or drive to fast it can be bad for your life...

Boy I can relate to that! The first two years my speedo didn't work. Never really knew why. Funny how these cars teach us a lot about all kinds of different things.

At least nine states - maybe more - can't recall and 41K miles which averages to about 3K+/year.

Karl Bebout out of Az. may not chime in here, so I'll do it for him. we were just talking about his mileage Sat. He added 63,000 in the last 7years with his ERA 289FIA Cobra. God knows how many miles on his first Cobra, as he said, "I was much younger, so drove EVEN more" He (OWNS) the "Iron Butt" award in Az. club Cheers TommyRot.

Well glad you put it that way. That is like my conversation with a friend that started this thought or thread. it was derived from how few some guys don't drive and where they go when they do. Trailer to drive... drive to enjoy the drive regardless of distance or possible conditions.
I know you guys out there do a good job of driving. I wish i would have been able to join up when i was out there in October. Couldn't get your way because of the fires, and had to go inland.
Next time!

Hal Copple used to be very active here, but I don't think he's posted in over ten years now. He has or had an SPF that he drove everywhere--as of 2008 he said that his odometer read 99,xxx miles but that it had been disconnected for several years, and that his best estimate was that his car had around 130,000 miles on it.
