Default New/old member, back in the game.

Hello everyone, I used to be a very active member of this site but unfortunately have been without a cobra for several years so I eventually stopped visiting.
I used to own ERA #002 and #115 and for various reasons I let them go. I stayed in the classic car hobby and have other Fords but always hoped to have another cobra. Last year I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase a CSX4000. It needs some work so I won't be able to drive it for a while but I'm excited for what the future holds. I'm sure I'll have questions along the way and from my past experiences with these forums I'm sure someone will have the answers. Thanks for having me back!

Thanks! I bought the CSX with a blown up engine and a few other issues. I'm sure I'll find even more as the journey continues. I'm taking the engine to Barry at Survival hopefully next week. I understand the issues going on right now with parts suppliers but I'm hopeful to get it back and have it running this year.
Old ERA #002 was a great car and we had a lot of adventures together. I heard it went overseas, but I hope that's not true.

If I'm not mistaken, this is misfit41's old car (circa 2004 information mind you), his profile lists the engine as "KCR 496 ci fe, 760hp" with homemade exhaust. Misfit41 has not been on this site since 2014......

Yes Bill, this was his car. I bought it last August and unfortunately he passed away in November so I can't ask him for the answers I need.

I sent you a PM. If you don't get it let me know and I'll try again. It's been a long time since I've tried to navigate this site.

Welcome back Doug!

Just coming back onto the site as well. Been away for 7-years due to family issues. Let me know if you need any info or pics on the CSX4000 for reference. Mine is an early version built in 1999.

Tim was a buddy of mine and I remember when he bought this car new. I've ridden in it and have been around it.

Engine came from Keith Craft many years ago.

I may be able to answer some questions for you.

I didn't know that it had been sold. I would have liked to redone the engine for it. It broke an Oliver rod and kicked it out.
