Appraising a 289 Cobra Replica

At 81 years of age I have to confront the unpleasant reality of disposing my pride and joy in the coming years. The executor of my will needs a contact for determining the value of my car when I'm gone. I live in the Portland, Oregon area.

The car is a very accurate 289 that was built about 20 years ago. The body and frame were supplied by JCF in Coos Bay, Oregon and I completed the build in about two years. Painting, upholstery, engine, trans., and Jag rear work was done by professionals to a very high standard.

I would like suggestions of a qualified person who could appraise the car, preferably in the Portland area and I would appreciate any thoughts you might have.
The car has been shown at the Forest Grove Concourse in the Portland area a few times and judged twice. Both times it won its class, once with 100 pts. The other time, which is when the photo was taken, it rained for the first time in show history (reason for the top up) and we never got the score, but a judge implied to me that it was "perfect". Despite being shown I don't consider it a trailer queen and drive it often, albeit carefully.

Strange, I had a friend who just went through this with her fathers estate (Warm Springs area). She had asked me if I had heard about, or knew a Glen Harmison Jr in Oregon who appraises cars. I advised I had not, saw a web site, but did not have any hands on knowledge of them. Advised her to check with local car clubs and specialty insurance companies to see if they did. Perhaps you might want to do the same.

A very nice looking roadster. I hope you are able to keep it and enjoy it for a few more years yet.

If I may offer my services, Jon. I live in Sequim Wa. and if you have seen my posts, I have owned a JCF 289Street, that John had built in 1992, for a good friend in Salem. I spoke quite often in the last few years with John, feel like I know JCF's pretty well, in fact I first contacted John in 1993 about him building a 289FIA BRG, 5-speed 331 with Webers, John remembered our discussion, great memory. Jon, is that Forest Grove Concours ? My JCF won there in 2010, the first owners' daughter still has the Award from the event. Tried to post a picture or two of mine, but not having any luck, if we trade Email's, I can send though those, Cheers Tom.

I don't know anything about JCF cars or their frames. What's it look like? Anyone have a photo?

Jon, Great Speaking with you today. I'm glad we could handle getting your JCF valued. I look forward to April when you get up here and get a chance to meet our group, I believe you'll fit right in. @LMH, Jon will send me photos of his chassis, while it was being built, I will forward them here. As we both can attest to Body & Frame are top notch, little issues with wiring, plumbing that were addressed in both our builds, nothing major. Amazing both cars won their classes at Forest Grove.
