Only use a puller to take your spinners off. Never to put them on. Supposedly that torque multiplier you see me with can apply a ridiculous amount of torque, like 4,000 ft/lbs or something. I would never use it to tighten anything up. Ever.

Puller for removal only, then install.....

So now back to the crux of this thread then.
Owners strike the spinners of their shiny wheels with a lead hammer? I didn't expect that.....

Some of us don't have shiny spinners. Mine are unshiny steel, but others do have shiny aluminum and occasionally break off an ear. But yes, you whack them with a lead hammer to put them on and, if you're old like me, you remove them with something a little easier.

I actually much prefer the look of my old greasy and partially surface-rusty spinners over that of shiny new polished ones, but to each his own....
