On original cars, I've seen them both ways.

I believe the reverse installation on the front would interfere with the oil cooker air opening to actually be functional. On the rear, not so much. But they are cosmetic anyway so I’m sure you can go wrong either way.

The majority of the pics of pre restored cars are to the inside.
3012, 3009 appear to be outside
Remember, there were so few of these and even fewer unrestored pics.
Could also be to the inside on a Monday as one would need to move less to install

Top image is original competition car CSX3016 restored.
Bottom is a Shelby American 50th Anniversary Edition.

CSX3006 427 competition car that sold at Sotherby's
had quick jack positions reversed from photos.
Same for original 427 driven by Jay Leno on his show.

Guess you are safe either way.

Default Next Problem

I bought these quick lifts from @Shell Valley. Upon receiving them I noticed that my tubes and screws for my bumpers are at 4 3/4 inches but the bolts for the quick jack are spaced only at 2 1/4 inches? Is there some adapter plate that I need? I thought pretty much all of these cars spacing configuration was pretty much the same?

You could look at the many pictures of the originals I've posted from the Shelby American Collection.
