I said it earlier, Ross Henry is your best bang for the buck seeing you are both in Canada.

Why try to reinvent the wheel when it's literally right in your neighborhood, relatively speaking of course.

Also, stop looking at the car as an investment for future sale, it's a toy, and nothing else.

I contacted Ross Henry and he can't help anymore. He said he as been restricted for import.
I've been in cars my entire life and has had many many many cars and always tried to not LOOSE too much. I'm not a millionaire and need to be wise to be able to have what I want.
Just last year I purchased a corvette convertible, a Lamborghini Gallardo and a Ferrari 328 GTS.
I still have the vette and the 328.
If I sell the 328 it would help building the Cobra but I'd like to be able to keep it a little more.
I also have other projects in process including refreshing a a 40ft diesel trawler.
I may end up just buying a FFR kit and put a MrBruce body on it I don't know yet.

One thing is sure, I want a correct looking 289 slabside and I will get it.

To do an aluminum body right, you have to find a buck to form it on. There may be plans out there to make one out of plywood but I don't know of any. Or find a fiberglass body that's accurate to use as a forming buck. Either way will be hard to find without a fair investment before a body is produced.

I wouldn't do it myself. I found a coachbuilder.
But for now I'm going fiberglass with partial aluminium.
