Sharing some funny Cobra memes…
Over the years, I’ve created a few Cobra memes that I find funny. Some of them have even gone slightly “viral” on Facebook, Instagram and other social media.
On the chance you might enjoy them, I’ll share some here. Feel free to join in too, if you have any good ones. *** https://live.staticflickr.com/4829/4...2f7abef8_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...79581806_b.jpg and one of my most popular creations: http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...-427_cobra.jpg |

Actually, that was one of a few I did and made a video. Music "hey Little Cobra" and apparently was a copyright infringement and won't play in some countries.

Thanks SunDude, for these (Meme) whatever the hell a meme is ;)
I'll like to relay a story I read not long ago, as told to his son back in 65-66 season. Jim we'll call him Jim (To protect the innocent) and Dr. Steve Olsen. Jim was the sales mgr. of a large Ford dealership in Florida, and Jim (Had been schooled by Mr. Shelby himself) to sell Mr. Shelby finest @ that dealership. Well, Steve, being a car guy, had read the new 427 Cobra was the car to own, and was not to be talked out of getting one :) Jim suggested maybe to start your Shelby ownership should start with a GT-350, or a 289 Cobra. Steve was sure the 427 was the CAR. Jim pulled the Cobra around to give Steve a (RIDE!!) and a ride he gave him :) after pulling back into the dealership, and a couple guys helping Steve out the Cobra. After a short time to compose himself Steve said "Yes, maybe a 289 might be the way to start his travels with a Shelby product. Jim, then told him, Dr. Olsen, THAT WAS THE 289!!!! |
Tom - best story I’ve heard for some time!
Cheers! Glen |

Strange as it may seem today, Cobras really were described as "hybrids" back in the 1960s, referring to the combination of British chassis and American powertrains.

Steve highjacked the 260, and gave it a cameo in Soldier In The Rain. Also one of my all time favorite lines, when Jackie Gleason is looking in the mirror, and says to Steve's character, "let me tell you something, my friend: being a fat narcissist isn't easy." Cheers, Dennis
