Brent,

I went through the steps you said. It still doesn't work.

Ross,

Sorry about the mistake. I thought one of the earlier posts said that you were on AOL. Right now I am on my XP computer with IE Version 6 and everything works great. My computer with ME has IE version 5.5 according to the system info. report page and it also works great. This is kind of weird. Have you and Bill checked the options on your IE to see if any have changed ?

Ron61,

I went through my options, everything looks normal.

Any luck with this yet? I didn't change any settings over the weekend, so I am at a loss here.

Bill Wells 12-02-2002 04:13 AM

I'm north of 48 and it's working a-okay; using Windows XP home edition and IE6.

Ross,

I really don't know what to suggest at this point. I am back on my computer with the ME system and it still works great. I don'tknow how much trouble it is to uninstall your metronet and reinstall it but you could have a file that is just a little garbaged. I have had that happen on AOL and every other wite except one would work ok but that one would have some strange trouble not showing graphics right or not letting me access some parts. I would just uninstall AOL and reinstall it and the trouble went away. I never did bother to track down just which file was doing it. I think Bill has already tried that but am not sure as I haven't gone back to page one to re-read all the posts. But it now seems sure that the problem is in your and Bill's computers as people from all over have checked in and theirs are working ok. I even went through my CP options to see if I could duplicate that problem by changing them and couldn't. It is an interesting problem and I wish I had Metronet to try it and see if I could duplicate this.

Ron61,

I too went into my CP options to see if anything was out of the ordinary. Everything looked OK. Thanks for trying to solve our problems. Hopefully Bill and I will be able to find out what the problem is.

brent mills... i wanted to follow up on my problems of early december as aforementioned in this thread . i discovered that if i DEACTIVATE my norton's 03 personal firewall that i have full use of the cc site..if firewall is ACTIVATED i have only partial use of the site : icons are missing, i can't go to different pages on threads, if i go to 'cars for sale' some of the columns are empty and the drop downs at the top don't work. what am i missing here ? are there some ports i need to open up ? or ? again, i am not bill gates tutor...damn these electronic gizzmos that outsmart me every time (my wife says a flashlight will do that to me too). bill
