Big Easy, I will get some answers to your questions in the next couple of days and let you know. Sorry it took me awhile to respond but have been working alot of hours this week.

I too am seriously considering the GT. I am disappointed that the car will not be price competitively with the Viper. If they priced it in that range or even in the range of a Turbo Carrera they would sell a boat load of them. It would justify the development cost by selling more of them instead of fewer of them.
I'm third on the list at my local dealer for one but not sure if I am willing to spend $15,000 over sticker. We'll see. |
Evan,
They will sell everyone they build. So, why try to be price competetive. I can get $15,000 over sticker for a Anniversary Corvette and some dealers have been getting $5,000-$10,000 for ordinary ZO6's for a few years. Same with Harley Davidson. So $15,000 sticker may be a bargain. For some things we Have to pay over sticker! Playoff tickets, Super Bowl. Hell you paid over sticker for your current car, didn't you? It is only money! You are a lawyer!! Go sue someone for cripe's sake!! Quit your whining.. TURK Available one 2003 Anniversay Corvette. Only $14,999 over sticker. |
Thanks Zazor;
Appreciate you going to the trouble---I'm not just pulling chains---I'm serious about this. Please let me know what you fing out. Happy New Year; BigEasy (Charlie) |
Turk: Yeah. Maybe your right.
I'll rethink the issue of paying $15,000 over sticker. Lets see where the list price comes in. Should be interesting. And the premium over sticker may end up being more than $15,000. Remember the Z8? Some dealers wanted $30,000 to $50,000 over sticker. We'll see. |
Give it a couple of years. Remember the Hummer, Viper, Miata, new T-Bird? Let Arnold and Jay get theirs, work out the bugs, and then you'll be able to pick your color.
BTW, does the stealership have to be an SVT dealer to sell the GT? |
I don't know the criteria for dealer selection. Probalbly based on sales volumne I think.
But you are probably right about waiting a couple years for all the excitment to wear off. |
WOW! tHAT'S the first I've seen of it! Nice freakin' Car!!!
|
Big Easy, you would be number 3 on the list, you do not have to put money down for a deposit. All I need is for you to e-mail me your name and phone number, my e-mail is racat7@aol.

I saw a Porsche GT-2 at a dealership last week.
Dealer markup $50,000. Total price $237,000. Kind of makes the Ford look like a good deal............ -Jon |
