Red Hot Chili Peppers -- Under the Bridge
Pearl Jam -- Alive
Cracker -- Low

and many, many more. Not to be a d!ck or anything, but I like my music a tad on the aggressive side.

Good thread..!

Can't understand why I didn't see this thread earlier....but, I didn't .

"I Can't Drive 55" Sammy Hagar - it's already been mentioned, but a favorite of mine....."ONE FOOT ON THE BRAKE, ONE FOOT ON THE GAS.....THERE'S TOO MUCH TRAFFIC AND I CAN'T PASS! " just turns my crank everytime!

Laugh if you want, but the theme song from "Top Gun", "Hiway To The Danger Zone" has always worked for me....

I made a 'Road Tape', as I call it, for a cruise I was organizing for our local chapter of Porsche Club of America several years ago. I made 25 copies of it so everyone had one in their car. Then, I took great pains to have them start the tape at pretty much the same time, so when we all pulled out on the Expressway, "Hiway To The Danger Zone" was just coming on.....talk about cool...this was freakin' frigid! EVERYONE just nailed it getting on the hiway...speeds in excess of 110 and higher....crazy go nuts....!

When we got to our destination in Hot Springs, Arkansas, I asked what the deal was getting on the hiway back there. Everyone screamed..."It was the MUSIC...You got us all jazzed up with the music...!"

Ahhhhhhhhh, yesssss....my work here is done..!

Maybe it would be fun to have someone put together 12 or 15 pedal stomping tunes on a CD.

I don't have a radio or player in my Cobra but I could sure play them in one of the other vehicles.

Often when cruising by one of the jogging trails a song by the G.A.P. band comes to mind:

BRICKHOUSE - that sometimes brings to mind a song by Jimmy Buffett........and then I remember. Oh yea I am married can't do that anymore.

TampaRMC 08-08-2003 12:33 PM

RUSH - Red Barchetta
White Wedding - Billy Idol
Sharp Dressed Man - ZZ top

I'm into lead guitar and I must play with me feet at times.

A LOT of "Heavy Metal" music is great for cruisin' at higher speeds...AC/DC, Metallica, Iron Maiden, UFO, Guns n Roses, Motley Crue, Def Leppard, Motorhead!, just to name a few!!

RawCobra 08-08-2003 08:12 PM

I gotta go with a few of the classics already listed - "Red Barchetta" (Rush), "Rock and Roll" (Zeppelin), "Who do you love?" (Thorogood), "Sympathy For the Devil" (Stones), and quite a few others, but...

Here's a few more obscure ones to check out: "Going Down On It" or "Fever for the Flava" (Hot Action Cop), "Feed the Monkey" (Infectious Grooves), "Been Caught Stealin'" (Jane's Addiction), and "Over the Mountain" (Ozzy Osbourne). They all make me abuse the go pedal.

PDHse 08-10-2003 06:59 AM

The best singer songwrighter in my opinion NEIL YOUNG. For driving music anything off his Weld cd.

Edley Rondinone 08-11-2003 04:49 PM

Guys: go down to your local Used CD store. Look in the "Compilation" or "Various Artists" section; there are lots of CDs with the very songs we have mentioned! I have bought over 400 used CDs; the problems are few and far between! There are a couple of compilation CDs under the HARLEY DAVIDSON ROAD SONGS title. Check them out!
