Can anyone help me with steering parts?
I tried to post this in the parts wanted section, but not sure how many people read it, so I'll beg here.
Replacing my FR 18:1 rack with a power set up and Heidts' valve. My problem is that when I first put the FR in, we threw out all my power steering stuff, as we didn't think we'd use it ever again.
So, I need a Mustang power steering rack, lines and pump. Really, I'm looking for donor car stuff that someone was just going to throw out anyway or would be willing to part with very cheaply. I've got one lead I'm following now, but not much else. Anyone have anything?

I could have sworn I answered this post.
I have a Rack & Pinion for an SVT mustang. I think it is.
It is a power unit.
I also have a pump from a 1971 mustang. Here again, I think it is.
It has the small dipstick on top, not a screw cap.
Anyway, you will have to get lines or make lines to connect them.
Note: they are in need of a bath.
Let me know if you want them. Make an offer.

Trularin, you did answer and I've got your message saved. I'm hoping to find someone who took the steering stuff out of a donor car and was going to toss it. I gotta be cheap, just took delivery of a 351W, cost me plenty. Plus I'm putting in a new aluminum radiator and high back seats. I'll keep your parts in mind.

Just my wife, but then that wouldn't be fair to you.
No, I was really just looking to pick up some used and unwanted parts.

Don't worry about that Roscoe, I've been running that list through my mind all week. Just make sure you're hungry when you get there. And don't put that pasta salad near your exhaust pipes on the ride down!! I'm just waiting one more day or two to see what the weather forcast is going to be. Don't want to buy the perishable goods until we know for sure. But so far, looks like we'll be good to go. I just got a phone call from my builder, who said he is bringing 10 people. More and more to the list everyday. Should be great!!
I do want to try to get my steering stuff ASAP, as I was planning on dropping the Cobra off with my builder after the Revolution to put my seats, radiator and steering in the car.

He posted twice... the same message. Me, thinking I messed up, answered twice.
Heck, if I hadn't paid so much for the items I have, I suppose I'd just give them to Steve. I paid a little over $200.00 for the pump and rack.
Excaliber, ya interested in tradin'? Wait, is that Oahu, like in HI? Shipping is outragious.
Let me know.

Yup, Hawaii, as in 3000 miles from nowhere!
If you mail the stuff US Regular Mail (take your time, put it on the boat) it's by far the cheapest way to do it. US Post Office HATES when you do that, they WILL try to get you to "up-grade" to first class or air mail or something.
Rule of thumb: $1 per pound of weight. How much is that?
Center to center mounting holes are the "key" as to wether or not the rack will fit! Not all are exactly the same! Yeah, I would be interested in buying (you a beer, and bring the PS and rack with you in your luggage, ha ha).
Seriously, I would be interested in buying. Need SPECS and PRICE and SHIPPING estimate.

Yes, I did post it twice. I posted once in the wanted section, but wasn't sure how many people read it.
I totally understand about your cash layout trularin, that's why I was saying I was looking for donor parts someone had no use for and was going to throw out (like I did ).
Dirty Harry, got your e-mail. Let's talk.
