Snake Boy,
That's really nice! Slide, Thanks! Maybe I'll come out to the next meeting. I'd like to see yours(again now that it's on it's feet) & his FIA car. |
Nice oil pan, terrible oil filter.

Snakeboy,
A very long story short, I ran over my ankle on my cars maiden voyage. I have not been able to work on the car for the last month. I just found out the small plastic line that runs to my oil pressure gauge burst. I ordered another but am still waiting. I will still have major sorting once I get it running again and am able to push in the clutch! But when I do I will visit everybody. Your car is looking vantastic............... Steve |
Paul,
How do I find your web site??????? Thanks, Steve |
Steve
Let me put up a webpage where you can upload some pictures of your car. Call me so I can give you the password and instructions on how to use the site. 805-341-1310 Paul |

Get that plastic line out of there! If you do a search in the "Classic Roadsters" forum you will find a discussion on that there back about 6 or 8 months. Go to the stainless flex tubing with AN fittings. Its the only safe way. Imagine what that would have been like if it was under the dash. John |

If you want to see all of my pictures. I have put them all up at http://cobraproject.com SnakeBoy |
Paul,
Very nice. I like the dual roll bar:) Steve |
289 Cobra ?
Snakeboy, great photos!!!!! I had a question concerning the 289 Cobra with the side draft Webers. Do you happen to know the owner if so could you inquire as to the origin of this intake manifold and Weber setup? I have a close friend that is in need of the same type of Weber setup for a 289 Ford motor.
Thanks! CoupeBill 427cobra@compuserve.com |

I do not know the owner's name of that car you are talking about. What I do know is that this is an original 289 FIA Cobra and I was told by the owner that those webers were original equipment when the car was purchased. He was not the original owner of the car so I do not know if the car was modified after purchase. You may be able to go to the cobra registry and see if it came with the weber set up. I think in one of the photos I took you can see the CSX number in the engine compartment of the car. SnakeBoy |
CoupeBill
The CSX number is on the metal plate in the middle of the webers but the bar holding up the hood is blocking some of the letters. SnakeBoy |
OIL FILTER
GET RID OF THE FRAM OIL FILTER, MOTORSPORTS OR K&N!
