I gotta go with Evan on this one, especially the analogy of the wcc.

Jeff Frigo 01-17-2003 05:43 PM

What a fricken joke, CS not the bike.

Excaliber 01-17-2003 05:55 PM

Bannon 125cc would be nice!

It meets the "legal" definition of mopeds,,,,,,49.5 cc. 50 cc or bigger is generally "legally" a motor cycle. Mopeds are EXTREMELY common here in Hawaii. And those that STAY 49.5 cc are extremely RARE, lol. Mine was 104 cc, did 80*mph, pulled wheelies and in general would scare the hell out of you.

Hmmmm,,,,wonder if CS would sign the gas tank on one of those for me? Then it would be a "real" Shelby.........ha ha

Dano-
The offer to cruise with Evan is still good- no matter how slow he may be:3DSMILE: Truth of the matter is, after reading some of these other threads, Evan's speed may be just about right for me-- especially for the first year or two until I get used to the car. As for racing Turk, how can you blame Evan for not taking part in that- I think we've all seen the pictures of Turk driving so fast he's managed to grow flaming antlers on his hat:LOL:

Dan Semko 01-18-2003 04:12 AM

Chaplin,
It's ALL an optical illusion. I've driven with Turk several times and I was amazed to learn that he "REALly" doesn't have a special order two speed trans.;) He drives so fast that we almost beat the guy in the Yugo, it was close and if the guy hadn't got the jump on us at the light, we would have smoked him! Turk did have dual quads and he's no one to mess with!:D
Your reply does answer why he wanted me to wear that Harley flaming hat.

I still can't get over how Zderf found that picture of me! Good find.
That picture clearly depict the usual state of frustration I suffer in dealing with you guys at times.

Chaplin: Sounds good. Your on.

The Turk/Evan drag race grudge match had to be done. After proving the superiority of the Shelby in the heat of battle the Turk dragon was slayed and humbled resulting in his current purchase. Need I say more?

:3DSMILE: :MECOOL:

How's this for a dose then. Shelby markets the "new" GT 500 E" which is an old 67 or 68 with fiberglass pats that nonimally match a clone of a real GT 500. So basically it's a clone of a clone and the first goes for $180000 at BJ. What were they thinking? anyone anyone?

HE BOUGHT IT FOR HIS WIFE

The guy with the wining bid on the Elanor replica kept looking at his wife at every bid increment. She kept nodding until he dropped 180 large. She must be a Nick Cage fan.

Rule number 1: Don't bring your wife to the auction.

Rule number 2: See rule one.

Rule number 3: Instead, take your wife to Tiffany. You' could save $80 - 100K.

Pagsta Johnny Pag Creations Carroll Shelby Mini Harlee

5 Attachment(s)
VIN#1J9RR11593C273541 - Back in December, 2002 my boss bought 8 of the Pagsta Carroll Shelby Mini Harlee's built by Johnny Pag Creations. He bought them from Carroll Shelby directly. He sold most of them at a large booth in 2003 at the Barrett Jackson. The one I have pictured did not sell (due to the fact it had a chip in the tank-which is now covered by a Cobra Emblem)
The title reads
Carroll Shelby Ent.
19021 S. Figueroa St.
Gardena, CA 90248
AND... the title is personally signed by Carroll Shelby.
The gas tank is also hand signed. With only 2 miles on it. I have been told that other than the 8 units my boss purchased from Carroll, that there were two others sold before a European buyer bought the entire inventory (But I am not sure if that is correct or not)
My boss is selling it for $2500. He was very close to Carroll Shelby and would like to see it go to a good home & and Shelby lover so if anyone can help me or direct me to the right place, any help would be greatly appreciated.

What motor is on that bike?

Rickd 05-30-2015 07:40 AM

Found the "Pagsta Mini Harley" website. Looks like they made 3 versions. One with a 49cc motor, one with a 97cc, and then a different bike .. a "cruisa" with a 250 cc motor. Not to be confused with the Orange County, Ca. custom bike builder .. Johnny Pag .. who makes some really cool retro bikes with a 320 cc (24 hp) motor. The Johnny Pag bikes are really slick. Would like to test ride one the next time I am in LA. Looks like a fun "around town" bike. Would look nice in my garage next to my Harley and FIA.

Yes, but at $2,500 for a glorified Moped

Rickd 05-30-2015 10:36 AM

Mr. Mustang ... you are looking at the wrong bike. I am talking about Johnny Pag Custom Cycles. They are full sized frames, 320 cc or 600 cc water cooled motors, and they are really nice bikes. I am NOT talking about the mini Harley... two different bikes altogether. The Johnny Pag custom cycles are priced at $5000 +. They have a softail and hard tail. Check out www.johnnypagmotors.com
