Carroll Shelby Sells Harley Replicas!!
1 Attachment(s)
The pot calls the kettle black.......
Check out this link. Click on the Carroll Shelby button at left on this home page: http://www.miniharlee.com/ What ever happened to the company who was making those "mini" Cobras? Did CS win that suit? Ummmm. Zderf  |
Just about every other motorcycle manufacturer out there makes a Harley look a like or replica.
So what? He's a distributor for motorcycle. What does that mean? You guys are riduculous. Don't you have anything better to do than Shelby bashing. Sorry. I forgot. This is CC. Sad. |
I don't bash Shelby, but...
I believe the apparent hypocracy is well worth pointing out in this instance. If Shelby can dish it out, he better be able to take it.
|
My, my, Evan, your thin skin is peeking through. How is it Shelby bashing to post a link to that website with minimal commentary? You must be reading between the lines again.
|
The truth hurts, huh Ev ??
...and if the only thing that goes on here is "Shelby bashing" then why do you keep coming back for more ? Do you sit to take a piss as well ? |
The difference is product is clearly not a Harley Davidson. Doesn't utilize the logo of Harley and doesn't pretend to be what its not.
No hypocrisy here on his part at all. You guys have to be kidding me. This is the best you can do for an analogy. Has Harley Davidson ever made and marketed a 2/3 scale motorcycle? Is there any chance anyone would believe or confuse them for Harley Davidsons? (well maybe Argo 1 would). They are not being marketed as a Harley Davidson. Argo 1: If you must know. The answer is yes but only when going #2. Sheesh! you have strange interests. Its not that I have thin skin. Its just obvious many will grasp at anything to knock the man and twist any sitution to suit their pleasure...Shelby bashing. Sad. Sigh. :MECOOL: |
Alllll-righty then....
|
Okie dokie then
Since the West Coast is not to scale (larger) than the original cobra, if it were also called a "cobree" (see the name of the mini harley Shelby sells) then Shelby should never be able to touch my car or say it's a "rip off " of his cars. Nice to know...
HEY! .... are the factory Five/Superformance, etc,...EXACT SCALE version of the original cobras? if not wot's Shelby's beef ? hmmm ? Wot's good for the goose is good for the gander. :p |
God, I love threads like this...
and I've said it before and I'll say it again... I think Real 1 Is C.S. am I right, am I right, am I right...... |
B in B: Yep. Your right. No problem with the West Coast replica. Its far enough off the mark that you can't confuse it with a Cobra. :p
As to the rest they are close enough to the body shape and dimensions to cause them to be mistaken for Cobras. Hope this clears things up. ;) |
Evan,
You are officially one of "The Grey Poupon Boys" and don't need to justify "REALity". Shelby has endorsed so many product lines including the high end electric guitars selling on ebay to even pop corn. You'd think after all this time you'd REALize that they're just pushing your magic button! Actually I think they're just checking if you're still out there!:D |

Mission Accomplished. (No particular strategic plan.. but tactical plans out the wazz ooh).
Respectfully Submitted Zderf  But am still sad since...... |
You guys are a scream!
 |
Evan-
I got to hand it to you. You take a lot of cr*p from people, but you always handle it with grace and good humor. You most definetely do not have a thin skin. Kudos to you. This summer I'd be happy to go on a cruise with you (I think you are only 15 minutes from me) and follow behind your real one. Hopefully I should be road worthy by June if everything stays on schedule.  Regards, Mike |
who's evan.? ..i don' see any evan signature line .... he could run but he couldn't hide, even after the signature change...yep, thick skinned and good natured he is , REALly...bill
|
Are there any rivets on that there Harlee???
No glove box covers to sign either. :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: PS - lay off my mate Evan - he's promised me a warm beer at DVFSIII. :MECOOL: |
Wilf, You'd better see him open that "warm beer" before you drink it!:3DSMILE:
|
Chaplin,
Are you "REALly" sure that you want to cruise with Evan? Evidence from previous cruises, like the one at The DV Spring Fling2, will reveal that you could probably walk faster! Even when challenged by the infamous Turk on the track, Evan won by a neck with an old lady on a walker that was pacing those guys!:D |
wilf,
We have a discount store here in the U.S. called Sam's which is a subsidiary of WalMart. The beer is always warm and I'm sure that Evan will probably have a case or two in his trailer. Tell him that you prefer a finer lager or ale!:D P.S. I've had the pleasure of harassing Evan in person and I think that you'll enjoy him when you meet him in person at The DV Spring Fling. |
About the bike...
Ok I don't see what's so special about the darn bike. It looks like a Suzuki GN125 only with a fancy paint job (one of them anyway the other one is just plain) and a much smaller engine... I wouldn't own the Suzuki if you gave it to me either...
See a pic of one here.. http://www.suzuki-ireland.com/gn125.htm JB |
