Bill Clinton startled by cobra
 

Slick Willie is down here - officially on an "R & R" trip and he will be guest speaking at a dinner hosted by the local government. There is a lot of media speculation about who is actually footing the bill and why.
Anyway, I was just at the hardware store picking up some stuff for the car and I ran into a neighbor whose house is right across from the fairway of the island's best golf course. He said that he just saw Clinton and his entourage playing the first hole before he left for the store. On my way back, I had forgotten about it and was heading up the road at a spirited but safe clip in third gear on a nice, mostly empty, semi-private road that winds through our neighborhood. I was enjoying the sound and the rush of power as I thundered out of a sweeping bend when I suddenly saw Clinton and his gang on the golf course not more than 25 or 30 feet from the road. He looked up at the car and the group of three or four men ( I assume at least one or two of them were secret service) turned and stared as if they thought a scud missile was roaring past. Billy went back to his golf and I carried on with a bit of a smile on my face not just because of the Clinton thing but mainly because it was such a beautiful day and I was driving my cobra.

I can only imagine how that SS agent feels about being assigned to protect
that draft dodging pedophile.

You'd think that at least one of the Secret Service fellows would have given you a thumbs up :D

I saw her on the senate floor speaking against the high salaries of company CEO's..... Hillary Rodham Clinton (or Bil'lary), as a New York State Senator, now comes under this fancy "Congressional Retirement and Staffing Plan," which means that even if she never gets reelected, she STILL receives her Congressional salary until she dies.


If Bill outlives her, he then inherits HER salary until HE dies. He is already getting his Presidential salary! until he dies. If Hillary outlives Bill, she also gets HIS salary until she dies. Guess who pays for that? WE DO!


It's common knowledge that in order for her to establish NY residency, they purchased a million dollar-plus house in upscale Chappaqua, New York. Makes sense. They are entitled to Secret Service protection for life. Still makes sense. Here is where it becomes interesting. Their mortgage payments hover at around $10,000 per month. BUT, an extra residence HAD to be built within the acreage to house the Secret Service agents. The 'Clintons' charge the Federal government $10,000 monthly rent for the use of that extra residence, which is just about equal to their mortgage payment.


This means that we, the! taxpayers, are paying the Clinton's salary, mortgage, transportation, safety and security, as well as the salaries for their 12 man staff -- and this is all perfectly legal! When she runs for President, will you vote for her?

I woudn't vote for that trollup if she was running against Jesse Jackson!

They had a perfectly good reason to slam Slick Willy to the ground and pounch on top of him like "Tigger" ......and they let it slip away. A chance like that may not come around again for awhile.

GeorgiaSnake, wow did you ruin my day, but you are right :CRY: :CRY: :CRY: just something not right about that.

Whatever else may be true about Clinton, I gotta admit that the guy's got charisma. Apparently the first thing he did yesterday, much to the consternation of his s.s. men, was to head down to the local vendors market in the heart of downtown - a real busy place on a Saturday morning - to mingle and chat with the locals. People down here have generally not been too fond of Billy, mainly because of economic realities that hit the local economy while he happened to be in office. In no time at all he had the people eating out of the palm of his hand. He shook hands, talked and bought a few souvenirs. He even met a group of tourists from Arkansas who commented afterwards that in all their lives back home they never came close to seeing a current or former president and here they were on a Caribbean holiday chatting and joking with Bill Clinton. Later at the dinner, he had the crowd right where he wanted them. His speech was well packaged and he spoke of his not so successful golf game earlier in the day not mentioning however that it was a bellowing little white sports car that caused him to miss his birdie putt on the first hole.

Dang,,,,,,,,,you can't sneak anything past this crowd!

If you think that politics does not have something to do with your 401k than you are probably not paying to much attention to your 401k. Can you say Haliburton? What happened to it after Chaney left to take office? If meemory serves me (which it doesn't a lot of times) that when Bush took over the he immediately claimed that the economy was hurting (which it was). Once he made this claim the market dropped 250 points in the next 2 days. The tongue is always a mighty market dispatcher.
