SuperHart- I know what you are going through. I had both bypass and valve repair in same surgery. You will be fine, concentrate on the positives and we will remember you in our prayers. Place your doubts and worry in the Lord's hands. Let us know how you progress.

Remember what you already know.

SuperHart,
Best of luck with you upcoming replumbing. Remember what you already know which is that it is mandatory to relinquish the medical control of your case to your colleague and not second guess your progress. Don't become the symbolic iatrogenic case, which we all "say" we will never do, but always deny. You know your physiology and the human nature aspects, so when the electrolyte levels instigate the post-op "depression" go out and look at your car, observe your family and appreciate your accomplishments. This will be the greatest learning curve you've ever journied. I've been on both sides of the knife, so I empathasize. If you need an open ear, drop me a line and I'll be happy to assist. It's so much easier with a stranger than a family member because no pre-requisite expectations are formatted.
With regards,
Dan

Wayne,

Sorry it has taken me so long to log onto this site but I am so glad you are doing well. I had talked to George Anderson last week who had given me an update on you. I guess next year you can change you own wheels at Run and Gun? Just kidding, I will be there to help anytime you need me.

So glad to know you're getting better. Hope to see you soon.

Clois

GEORGE ANDERSON 02-28-2003 12:04 AM

Wayne is getting back to normal....his phone call today was about an hour long.....72% talking about Engines, 12% about his recovery, 15% about the fishing trip and other plans for the next several months....and 1% about the Run & Gun and he WILL be there @ 110%
Wayne, very glad you're getting better and we all wish you the best recovery......sorry to hear your wife cleaned the garage out while you were gone...who did she have get rid of all that FE stuff? Where did it go?
George

Thanks again to all who have posted on this thread. I very much appreciate all your comments and concerns and I am feeling better each day.

Has anyone heard from SuperHart who also underwent heart surgery a couple of weeks ago? I emailed him, but no reply yet, if anyone has any news on him, please email me.

George- I don't consider what my wife did with my FE parts a laughing matter, so I prefer not to discuss it ever again. It is not funny to me.

Were you serious about what she did with them???

I read about it on another thread, and I thought you must have been joking!!! Wow - lucky that didn't send you straight back into the Texas Heart Institute...

My family have given up on cleaning up around my car parts. They're used to hearing about how the ugliest looking parts are inevitably worth the most.

Some people just can't see the beauty in engine parts. To think what they're missing out on...:D

WT - glad to hear your doing well. Our thoughts and prayers have been with you since I heard, look forward to seeing you again later this year.

Well done Wayne!
This IS good news indeed!
May God bless.

Wayne,

You must be getting better, your sense of humor seems to be back. So is that FE SO short block on ebay for $100 yours?:D

Looking forward to seeing you soon. By the way did George tell you about the track dates of May 3rd and 4th outside Omaha in Pacific Springs, Iowa? I am sure you wouldn't be ready to drive but we all would like to see you. Several of the Run and Gun Ford drivers will be there.

Keep in touch Wayne when you can.

Best wishes,

Clois

Greg,Ed, and Clois-many thanks for your thoughts and prayers. I will try to make it Clois as I look forward to seeing all of you guys again. Greg, I am counting on you again this year, as you set a new standard last year. Ed, good to hear from another old timer, and hopefully I will be able to see you at DVSF.

Craig-let's put it this way, I may be forced to be nice to Turk and George, and it used to be the other way around as I had all the parts, and now Turk has them all, and thinks he is Bill Parham-West or Old Ironsides, and a few years ago he thought 427 was a card game, I am concerned that he's going to give all of us FE guys a bad name, and I just don't understand why he torments sb Cranky the way he does, unless it's just a Turkish thing. I have tried to get him to be more like Enzo but I don't think he tolerates liquor all that well. Look forward to meeting you Mate.
