Turk, I'd say you've got the right threads.

Jim ... how is the 550 coming?

Post Another Choice

Tinny,

Another Cobra to consider is a JFC (John's Custom Fab) in Coos Bay, Oregon. I took delivery of his first extended footbox turnkey version in October. It also has a dropped footbox. I stand 6'4" and am 225 and fit well in this new style. A nice thing is that from the side you can not see the dropped footbox, unlike some that I have seen. The steering column is rasied for easy in/out, yet most people will not notice. (see my gallery)

The question is.... how fast do you want a car? Most manufactures starting with a new car will be awhile for a delivery, especially on a turnkey. Kit form.... well this speed things up. If you buy a used one and want to hack it up to make you fit... sometimes this is not so good for looks and will take some time too. Like I mentioned the ability to view the dropped footbox from a side view. Also you may find a car you can fit in but is it a quality car? I can say that JCF car is extreemly strong both frame and body but the quality is everything I expected plus the body is original size and shape.

Good Luck,
Mike

I'll have to reference this thread before making any smarta$$ed comments about you guys(in only 6'2 240).
Question for Jamo, why will removing some foam padding from the seat make you fit better? With 300 lbs on it, that padding will only be about 1000th of and inch thick!

Default Be Nice...

Hey Art, It's a possibility? Just remember, be nice, you’re the one with the last name that if you simply remove the “R” you become Art Butt. I know I’m a butt too, what’s your point? LOL

Thumbs up Casaleenie, JAMO...

Casaleenie, couldn't e-mail you in response to the kind comments on "View from the...." SO you're invitation is on the same gallery photo...

Jamo,
"2-2 Slip" was the call for us cornerbacks to pinch quickly in on the Center (punts, pass plays--any time we knew you were going to rear up on yer hind legs)---fun huh? Didn't that used to be called "canning" or "ducking" the Center? C'mon, we can still be friends.

Gasholes: I didn't want to invade your site---of course you're invited to Five Islands, too---BUTT, you've got to get the Big Barrister Down East as part of the bargain. This may entail the Cheerleader packing up his portable office, etc. kidnapping Buddy, etc...okay, maybe some horse tranks....make sure Ron doesn't see this, he'll get a restraining order....this summer will be intense........wait.........that's "in tents" for many of the late-arrivers!
