At first glance, it appears to be a Classic Roadster.

That was the car Snakeeyes supposedly bought--instead, he loads up my GTD-40. Give me a couple of days and I could turn this thing into an ice racing machine.

Man, that thing hit HARD. Sure does look like a CR Cobra. Also looks like the front fiberglass took a good deal of the impact force.
The steering wheel is another matter. Arms or torso? (I'm not trying to be morbid ... it's just that that steering wheel is bent up so much!)
Interesting that the windshield broke out but the frame is still in place. Also interesting that it appears as if the cockpit is still in pretty good shape ... well, except for that darn steering wheel!

It is quite amazing what the impact of an accident can cause. I smashed a car some years ago and my face hit the steering wheel, the impact only broke my nose but the steering wheel looked very similiar to the one in the photo.

I'm putting the five point harness in tomorrow...
I'd bet he or she really got hurt...
Any way to follow up on the damage report?

Looks like someones knee went into the glove box...
Many years ago I smashed into a parked car (actually not my fault) and put my teeth through the top of the steering wheel.
Went back the next day to see the car and found teeth still in the wheel.. 67 Olds Cutlass
It hurts to look at the steering wheel in that Cobra...

That doesn't look like the normal position for the dash. Looks like it was pushed into the passenger compartment.

Mine has the 5 point harness
And improved impact protection and a collapsible steering column. But regardless of what type of cobra you are driving, be careful out there folks ! This hurts all of us by association.

I guess as long as these cars can be built with lap belts and no rollbars, idiots will drive them that way and kill themselves. It's a shame that it happens, don't get me wrong, but there is little enough protection in one of these cars without leaving out anything that might make them just a little bit safer. Someone obviously paid a high price for being stupid.

Just a thought,
A Few days ago I read a post that someone had traded a stolen car ( vette) for a cobra..... is this the same car?
What a hit, hope they are ok.

Roll bar is good IF you roll it AND it's high enough to actually offer protection. Interesting that the original "street" Cobras had no roll bar. JBL incourages a rather TALL roll bar, a good idea, but OK, it looks a little "off". Some guys have a roll cage, now THAT looks a little "off", but offers serious protection.
I'm guessing a roll bar or a roll cage would not have helped in THIS accident?

From my experience(Fire-Rescue), my guess would be that the driver braced(locked elbows and death gripped the steering wheel) before impact. I have never been on an MVA where the windshield was "blown" out of it's frame. Perhaps the hood punched it out. I'm no accident reconstruction expert, but I have been on several 100 MVA's(no Cobras).

There are only what, six tiny screws retaining most cobra windshield frames to their vertical posts? And they are sunk into the strongest metal know to man, brass.
