Default Pro Line Heads

Hi Guys, new member from the UK here, I'm afraid I need some help already, has anybody heard of Pro Topline ally heads? My motor has been supplied with these instead of the Edelbrock items I had ordered. without any consultation. The spec seems comparable, i.e. 320cc runners and 2.25 / 1.88 valves...but do they flow ? I've never heard of them but if they are comparable maybe they'll be OK. Anybody got any views ? Incidently they are listed as $300 cheaper as an upgrade than Ebl. items.
This isn't the only issue... no oil pan sent and the wrong flywheel, but thats another story...I really thought it would be better to have the motor built in the US.... but...

I dont know if it would be fair to publish the guys name until he has had a chance to speak for himself...I've just E-mailed him witha list of concerns, I'll wait until he replies but if he p*sses me about ,I'll surely post his company here, so you all know for the future.

Pete, unfortunately I have been in your position myself, my motor had no roller cam/lifters, incorrect pistons, zero piston to plug clearance, low compression, no thermostat, no dowels between the flywheel and pressure plate, etc etc.
You need to check everything on the motor to see if its correct, has it got the correct pistons, compression ratio, rods, cam etc. Has it been balanced, has the cam timing been set up etc, don't assume anything is correct until proved otherwise.
I just hope that you bought it on your credit card and not a bank transfer.

Good luck

Andy

Pete - I admire your restraint...Let us know what happens, and good luck. Hopefully it was just an oversight...

If this turns out to be a problem you should start the thread over on the Consumer Forum
