Thanks for the correction, Jim. I can't remember where exactly I got that pic, but for some reason I was convinced it was labelled an original CSX. Beautiful car. Anyone got a picture of a CSX3000 series from the rear quarter?
Cranky, thASS an interesting point. Looking at the pics of your #99 in the gallery, the rear end does'nt look all that perky at all.

Flyin_Freddie 02-04-2003 04:19 PM

Talk about mis-representation!

Here I was all ready to look at some sweet young thing's tush all trussed up in a thong or something less....and you're talking about Cobra butts...! You guys should be ashamed...!

I mean, I like Cobra butts, I guess...but their hips are so narrow as they slither along the ground, I just can't see what you guys see in them.

Yepper...give me a firm 18-22 year old's posterior any ol' time...catch her bending over a Cobra, and with a pair of REALLY short blue jean cutoffs...maybe in some strappy little high heels with an attitude to them, and you've got my interest up....and that's not all....

Perky, droopy, SPF, Unique, Kirkham, A&C, or Butler...all be damned...! Fresh meat...now Thas' what Ahm talkin' 'bout!

These are a few of my favorites!;)

Buzz 02-05-2003 04:17 AM

Hey Ron, I'm sure you can come up with a good excuse - tell the wife you're really an undercover biologist and your mission is to come down here and study the local wildlife!:3DSMILE:
Nice butts, guys! Bill, is that a forward braced roll bar on 3287; that must be a pretty REAR feature on original 427's??
Awesome twosome you got there, Dr. Dan! Is it just the picture or is the Cobra's butt actually wider than the Porsche's?

wicked fast 02-05-2003 06:41 AM

Buzz

Yep, it is forward braced.

3287 is a street car with S/C parts added, rollbar, hood scoop,
sidepipes, and Halibrands.

He had driven 1 hour on the highway to get to the track,
road raced the Cobra with our club, then drove home.

An original Cobra that was driven on the street !!!

Cheers,
Bill Cook

Optical illusion?

Buzz,
It's really an optical illusion. They're both the same length but the stance is about an inch wider on the 930 from fender lip to fender lip. The cobra will eat the Porshe alive for the first half mile but after the turbo spools, the Posche will runaway from the cobra.
(talk about making the hair stand up on the back of your neck and cold chills down your spine). A distinct advantage of getting the power and weight to the ground. We'll see the difference with the new Superformance with the stroked 418 and 500+hp with 295's on the rear!

TerrysSPF 02-05-2003 09:41 AM

Dan - I hope this is an optical illusion as well............doesn't it look like the pillars on your lift are starting to bow outward in the center? Looks like the picture was taken with a "fish-eye" lens. It's good to hear that the Cobra will stomp the Porsche in a 1/2 mile race, but it may "stomp" it again.........!

Buzz: You live in St. Lucia and Cobra's are the "butts" you post for us? C'mon. By the way.......went to St. Lucia a few years back and stayed at the Jalousie Hilton Resort. Beautiful place for those of you that are thinking of visiting Buzz!

Flyin_Freddie 02-05-2003 10:06 AM

Yepper...Buzz...

NOW we talkin', Buzz... Tough to see through the CENSORED overlay, but I know Brent's trying to run a family friendly content here...

Had some photos taken once upon a time by a photographer friend of mine with my 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera as a prop. They were for a swimsuit catalog...or at least that's what he said. The swimsuits were not much more than three pieces of material connected with some strings...we're talking little bitty, itsy-bitsy little whisps of swim suits. (Funny thing is they were all in the $200+ range...go figure!) Anyway, a couple of the models wanted additional photos taken for their portfolios...and the suits just sorta seemed to come off on their own. And there I was just sorta standing around while all this was going on.

Never did understand how this guy lucked into being a photographer...or why....until then! I still have some of those photos. ;)

Dan Semko 02-05-2003 12:16 PM

Good Eye

Terry you're eyes aren't deceiving you, there was an bow in the posts after I anchored the rear posts. After realigning and rebalancing the rails, there's still a slight bow when it's lifted to its max but the engineers said that it's expected and not to be concerned. The picture was taken off a ladder on a bright day.
I do think that new stroker will smoke the Porsche but aerodynamically, the Porsche has the advantage at higher speeds!

Is this a perky Butt?

Dan, I'm glad my buddies down here don't read this forum. I've been telling them that the scene in the movie "Bad Boys" where the 911 Turbo smokes the Cobra after the Cobra gets a good quarter mile headstart is pure Hollywood hogwash. Now you're telling us thats the way it is. Bummer.
Freddie, I know what you mean about the photography thing. In my business, I got tired of depending on the pro photographers all the time so I bought some equipment of my own for stock photos and rush jobs. The girl in the photo is actually my secretary who doubles as a model when time (or practice) is of the essence. The photo of her is from her portfolio and the Cobra T-shirt and G-string are actually computer generated add ons. There is something about models and cameras - once they're comfortable and having fun, inhibitions and clothing tend to disappear real quick. God I love my work!
Did you guys see Cranky's "redneck pencil holder"? I'd sure hate to see what that dude uses as a sharpener!
:3DSMILE:
PS: Freddie here's a pic featuring Karen, a good friend and my favourite, most reliable model. (I hope I'm not pushing the limits of the moderators' tolerance)

Now that's a nice picture, Buzz,

Any chance you could post a larger version? It's would make great wallpaper! :D

Buzz and I have already hijacked this thread...post your damned ERA pictures somewhere else...

Buzz....you're up...! :D

Buzz 02-06-2003 09:25 AM

Mr. Mike, thats a nice ERA. What colour blue is that?
Paul and Freddie, there's a "slightly" different version of that pic in my gallery. When I went to upload it, I loaded the "untouched" version by mistake. OOPS! Had to delete that one pretty fast!%/
