Have people ever confused your license plates with a different meaning?
This example isn't Cobra related, but I bet the general public are often mistaken when trying to decipher the meaning of the more creative license plates out there.....
I was just looking throught the Australian Ebay site. A gent is offering the following plate (currently at a massive $20-!)
Like most cars guys with an interest in motor racing in the 60s, I automatically assumed that this guy secured the ultimate tribute to Mr Vic Elford - veteran Grand Prix, Can Am, Trans Am, and Targa racer. http://www.vicelford.com/bio.html
Not to be.... The plate was issued in the State of VICtoria, and originally meant to be fitted to an EL FORD Falcon, possibly the most bland six cylinder 4 door Ford yet released over here...
I might buy it, and at least save Mr Elford the disservice of having his full name affixed to one of these cars!!!
