Does your Cobra have a glove box?
And if you DO have a glove box, what do you keep in it? (besides the breath mints!!!) Registration, proof of insurance, pen or pencil and a small pad, maybe a disposable camera? Maybe a tire gauge, some Wet-Naps, AAA Card, spare fuses, a Leatherman? And if you DONT have a glove box, where do you keep the registration, proof of insurance, etc?

Glovebox: keep the papers there, a small mini-mag flashlight, ink pen, ear plugs, four-in-one screwdriver ,think there are some business cards in there too I've gotten from people.
Typical glovebox--sort of a catchall

Elastic pockets in the doors
Where I keep a spare "danna", my beret, several sets of gloves, a Scorpion flashlight, and my hood pins.. the passenger side has room for a lady's scarf and gloves.
I also have a small goodie from Griot's garage.. www.griotsgarage.com it is a small multi-pocket that straps around the lower rails of the seat, and it is right under the front of the passenger's seat.. holds a coffee/hard sunglass case, several cassettes, and my plug in interior light. I have a 12 pack case of cassettes behind the seats..My registration is tucked in between the driver's seat and the tunnel, in a ziplock bag

Have a glove box. I hide the stereo there. Keeps would-be thieves guessing and for those purists who think a radio in a corbra is taboo. See my gallery for pics of dash and glove box. I guess it wouldn't make any difference about the purists anyway because I have a wooden dash. Authenticity isn't important to me.

I ordered the SC dash from ERA and had them install the glove box in it. Again, maybe not absolutely authentic, but I liked the SC dash layout and wanted a glove box too.

I have a glove box and not sure why. My Classic has a lot of room behind the seat.
Paul
I looked at your dash and it is very very special. What are the toggle switches for? You seem to have 6 switches and a pull out.

No glovebox here as I am staying with the SC theme.
Thought about sticking all my crap in a small dodad and throwing it in the trunk nicely.
No map pockets on my door panels and i won't be sticking stuff under the seats, floormats or between the seat and the tunnel.
So all thats left is the trunk.......lol

Ed, I really like that extra room behind the seats! That was the main thing about the Excal and the C.R.s that I'm looking for. Is there room in the C.R. for McD's coffee cup between the seat and the tunnel? The Excal was about 4 inches wider than "standard", don't know for sure about the C.R.
I kept the "paper work" in the door side pocket. Glove box held misc. and extra EAR PLUGS!

OH, and...
I have two small military tool bags in the trunk.. one has a complete tool kit, and the other has leather bomber helmets, wool caps, extra gloves, goggles, sunglasses, and (snakeskin look) scarves for the ladies And a spare leather cruise jacket to loan out to passengers.

I have a glove box and it is good for putting a map in. I had a backdrop made and snaps installed to cover the area behind the seats and that is where I carry all of my papers and other small items. I once had a bunch of papers get sucked out of the door side pockets while driving down the freeway so I don't use them any more.

Yep, I have one!
Yes, I added one when I first ordered my car.
I keep a car log in it with a pen, a small lithium battery powered flashlight, registration papers & proof of insurance, a set of MSD chips in a chip holder and my Passport radar detector, along with my car manual, a couple of road maps and a listing of names and phone numbers to call in the event of problems.
I am glad I had one installed and would do it again if I ever did it again!

I wanted the "S/C" look and was disappointed initially that my car had a glovebox, but I'm glad to have it now. When I bought the car it had a stereo hidden in there., which I immediately ripped out (it was cheap and you couldn't hear it anyhow). I now keep a tire gauge, penlight, leatherman tool, and my insurance info in it. I also ran a cigarette lighter hookup into it from under the dash, so I could power up a radar detector or G-tech if needed...

After enjoying the benefits of a glove box in my ERA, I wouldn't have it any other way.
So my new car has a glove box. However I caught so much flack from Mr. Computerworks (who dosen't even have an engine in his car) about how I have committed a crime by adding a glove box to a dash on a car which never meant to have one, I decided on haviing the only dual dash CSX built to my knowledge. One with, one without.
I use them one at a time!
Ron, I hope you are happy now. I am not! Second set of gauges cost as much as the first set.

...the only CSX car with wingnuts holding the dash on.
(...for a quick swap)
C'mon... fess up...
The real reason is that, with a correct S/C dash, there's no door to have signed.

I have a glove box door with a defroster unit behind it. Wisconsin weather dictated that, but I do have a leather pouch atteched to the back of the door for insurance, registration, spare fuses.

Hi Ed
Thank you for the kind words. The toogle switches are for headlights, wipers, interior lights, fan override, fog lights, and a shut off hooked in series with a hidden switch to shut off the power to the fuel pump (anti-theft precaution) this switch is labelled as "aux" (short for auxilary). The pull knob is the manual choke for the Holley 750.
