Question Mechanical Oil Pressure Gauge Fitting

I'm going to change from copper line to braided stainless steel line on my SW oil pressure gauge.

To save me the trouble of pulling the dash out, does someone know what size fitting I'll need to adapt the 4-AN line to fit the gauge. I think the gauge uses 3/16" fittings.... or is it 1/8 NPT... or what?

The engine side I know is 1/8"NPT.

Thanks,

- Jim -

Hi and ditto to what Scott said 1/8" male NPT

I have the autometer cobra look alikes and they recommended using their SS braided line. It's 100 bucks CDN just for the line to the gage. Screw that

My friend in Ontario suggested I see a hydrualics shop and get one made in the industrial issue. I got one from Aeroquip in their industrial line with all the fittings in AN-3, 6 feet long
swivels and 90's all for 38 bucks Canadian. Looks excellent. And you know what, no one will see it anyway.
The most visible part is where the hose fitting comes of my remote filter adapter plate on the engine.

Think about this route if you want to save some good coin.

Tim

Go look at Rebco or Longacre, both of these places sell the same braided line as Autometer, with all of the fittings needed, for less than $30, U.S.
