Steve, I'll warn you now that you'll have a heart attack if you see the pictures of my nearly completed car that I took last week. If you want to be an icon for Shelby, maybe I should be the anti-icon. Nothing on my car looks anything like it should, based on historical accuracy. As much as I truly appreciate the detail that goes into replicating how the cars would/should have looked in the 60's, my latest car is simply a chance to drive a no holds barred racecar on the road without the local police taking too much notice. What other car could I drive on the street with an 800+hp motor, dual 5" exhaust, Avgas, heim-jointed suspension, 12" wide tires, and all at only 2400lb. Any Mustang/Fairlane/Camaro/Chevelle would attract unwanted police attention, never mind what they weigh. The cops over here love all Cobras, and even tolerate the louder ones.

I'll post a link to the video as soon as I get it converted to a digital format. It might be a little while away, but it will happen.

Craig

I am not just an original Cobra nut. I appreciate all cars that a lot of thought went into making as a purpose built auto. I am sure I will be impressed.

Default CSX3002 Video

Craig,
How are things going with the video?
If you can't get it in the site, I'll pay for a copy of it.
Let me know.
I plan to suprise the owner of the car (CSX3002) with the film.
He would get a kick out of it!
Thanks,
Mike C.

I am trying to locate the current owner of CSX3002. Someone has been trying to reach me by the name of "Toby". I was the first non-Shelby owner of the vehicle.

INTERESTING , AS I THOUGHT THE REGISTRY HAD A COMPLETE HISTORY OF CSX3002. IM SURE NED SCUTTER WOULD LOVE AN UPDATE. I BELIEVE THE CURRENT OWNER OF CSX3002 HAS QUITE AFEW "TOYS" LEAST OF WHICH IS THE 427 DRAGON SNAKE (HAR ). A GT40, A "SET" OF GULF CORVETTES, PLUS ALOT OF SPECIAL CORVETTES....BUT NO SR-2 !! AS 3002 WAS COMPARED TO THE SMALL BLOCKS (FROUNT NOSE) THE ROLL BAR BRACE COMES FORWARD LIKE THE CSX2000'S

Cool Interesting side note

I believe David Kirham has a replica of the 3002 car in Provo, the doors and rear are like an SC but the front looks like the 289 Cars. I have some picture of a replica of 3002 built by Hi Tech several years ago, I'll post them in my gallery in the next day or so.

Here's a picture, it's available (I think). The tongue sticking out of the mouth is the roll bar in bubble wrap. The rear wheelwell white and blue panel is bare aluminum with a protective vinyl cover.

Cool Hi Tech replica of 3002

Here's some pics of the car from (I think) Kit Car magazine several years ago, what a beauty.

John... the 40k limit is for attachments to posts, where you specify the file to attach at the bottom of the Post page.

The above picture, which is about 62k, is in the Gallery and the image is linked into the post. You can have images in the Gallery up to about 120k in file size.

Default OK, I'll bite

And just how do you accomplish that little feat? For example if I wanted to link one of the pics in my gallery?

Cool

OH, OH, I think I know this one, pick me. pick me!

First, I called up and was looking at the picture I wanted to link. Went to my gallery and there it was! Course, it could have been ANYWHERE on the "Net".

THEN, I highlighted the web address and clicked EDIT then COPY (for the link).

THEN I hustled back to the thread and hit REPLY.

Here I am,,,,so I'll PASTE the Link I previously copied right here:

http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/s...t=1&thecat=500

Piece of cake!

Ernie.. close.

You pasted the URL of the page, not the image

Go to the pic in the Gallery, open it full-size (not thumbnail). Point to the picture and right-click. Go to properties. Highlight the complete URL and right-click / copy.

Then, go to your post. At the point you want to insert the pic, hit the IMG button and paste the address into the pop-up box that appears.

Darn,,,and I was SO close! LOL

EDIT:
By posting the IMG instead of the "Link" isn't the picture "quality" reduced due to the size limitation on a post in a thread? ("lol").

Ernie
