Default Update on SPF #623

Well Im writing this with my knuckles wrapped in ice from cleaning the car for three days. It cleans up nice. It was very dirty off the truck and the body looked as if there were more blemishes than there really were. There are two bad marks on the passenger quarter panel. Touch up paint was put in the chips and it looks like crap(ANY SUGGESTIONS) needless to say, I am not going to use the touch up paint.

The engine is pretty awesome, 2 holley 600s on the blue thunder intake (tuned perfect) purrs like a kitten. Alum' cobrajet heads....they have a cobrajet emblem on the front of each head hidden down in the engine just to give you something to look at when you're staring at the thing"eye candy". The engine is mostly polished. Is there a product I should use to bring out the luster on the aluminum firewall and the polished engine parts?

Lastly, dont think I have been scrubbing and not driving this thing. It was sold to me as a 620HP motor, and I think it is every inch of that, on the street if you give it more than 1/4 throttle the ass end wants to go faster than the front...it gives me goosebumps just writing it. Well anyway, I thought I would post this because I did buy the car because of the information on this website. Great site! And I'd like to thank everyone for all their help...I hope it continues as I am sure I will need help with my new toy.

Dane

I know, I know about the pics. Ill get some within the week. I dont have a digi camera and I have to order them digital, upload and post. I'll have them by next week.

Now that you've got it clean, how about posting some pictures?

Thumbs up Aluminum polish

The two that I use on airplane parts are Blue Magic and Simichrome. Blue Magic is a good all around cleaner/de-oxidizer while Simichrome has very fine grit to it and will brighten a dull finish. Simichrome can be found at most hardware stores, it comes in a small tube. Blue Magic is a little tougher to find locally but you can order it through aircraftspruce.com
Good luck and enjoy the ride.

Congrats!!!
Let's see some pictures!Wenol It's the best there is. I used it on my 23 T Headers and rims. It makes Simichrome ( which I used to use) look like sandpaper. My .02
