Curt....

.......after a minimum of thought*, I've come up with a few criteria (all of which I've met, and to wh/ many envious CC members aspire)::LOL:
1. attain 50+ years worth of growth rings (I'm 58, goin' on 32, thanks to the Butler!)
2. acquire and host many and several afflictions associated with aging gracelessly & living hard (and well)
3. acquire the appearence of being a member of the fabled O'Beast clan
4. acquire the ability to emit loud noises and ferociously-rancid vapors without warning
5. quit (or redouble--either works) yer drinkin'
6. post a lot, especially in a curmudgeonly vein
7. acquire the ability to project your contempt for callow (or obnoxious) youts with the mere flick of a brow

Hey, another thought (that's two this morning!)----I hereby donate* 20 posts to YOU, Curt!---c'monDOWWWWWNN! Other senile---oooops---senior CC members, please follow suit! Let's help this worthy guy out!
:D

*always an option with me!
**not to be confused with Hillaryite Socialism!

Send me a brief "answering post"---perhaps something like "Thanks for the Gallant Gesture" and 6 weeks in your Caribbean Time-share---you know som'in brief and simple.....:D You'll see the genius of Plan 2 almost immediately...
Do it!:JEKYLHYDE I'll wait.....

Brett,

And that's just because you know how much one costs!:3DSMILE:

(I think Jamo posts in six-minute increments.)

boxhead 05-04-2003 06:43 PM

why is it so important to have a hi post count?
Is it something like standing at the toilet and seeing who is bigger?
HHHHMMMMMM post count envy

Jamo 05-04-2003 08:31 PM

.

Ron61 05-04-2003 08:40 PM

Boxhead,

The high post counts just mean that you have made more incorrect answers than someone with a lower one. At least that is how I got mine where it is. I made one post and by the time I got through explaining away my errors and incorrect statements to the 99 people who jumped in to tell me I was wrong I had over 100 posts. Want to get yours up, just post something incorrect. :D

Ron

Which brings up another consideration: number of bytes of storage used for (non picture) posts. A high post count might corespond to a high byte count, but a high byte count might also indicate the tendancy to wander in the posting, not getting to a specific point; to use excess words in other word, akin to using wordiness to convey an idea rather than engage in a much more appropriate direct approach, trimming words until only the substance of the idea is left -- an activity that many should probably strive to obtain, albeit to reduce to a single period would indicate a lack of meaningful substance, whereas an exclaimation point ("!") can oftem be employed, even standing alone, to convey not only thought but feelings as well!

(um, post count!)

:)

Excaliber 05-04-2003 09:48 PM

petek,,,,,,uh,,,,,,say what??? LOL

But I completely understood Jamo's last post.

I don't even know why post count is important. Who cares?
