How to become a senior CC member
I have been here a long time now. I do not post alot, but try to contribute when I have knowledge. I have contributed money to CC recently. Seems like I used to have a lot more posts, but then the number got reduced somehow. What do I need to do to leave my current neophyte status?

I think that when Brent switched over to this new server some people lost some of their post count. I see that you have the camera icon but no cup icon denoting that you contributed to the club in 2002. I don't think they have changed that over to the 2003 contributers yet. The people to ask would be Brent, Computerworks, or Turk. They can tell you just what to do. Ron **) :JEKYLHYDE %/ |
Thanks Ron. I am not whinning, well maybe a little. I just want to be part of the gang. Maybe I will take a day off and just respond to every open thread out there. Hehe :p

Curt,
I have been here for years also and contributed money, I think it has to do with when you started. Mike |
It's a bummer that a LOT of people wound up with a smaller number of post count than they had before the "switch over" some months ago. I never really pay attention to that much myself. It's only when someone posts a REALLY wierd or controversial subject and only has like 1 or 2 posts that I get concerned. At 61 posts (at least), I'd think you been around long enough to know what your talking about.
(Note to self: Curt C is not only a contributor, he has WAY more posts than are "reported" and is an all around "cool" guy). Feel better? LOL I JUST got the gold trophy thing because I contributed recently, that is this year. I don't know how that works. If I don't contribute next year, it goes away? It may seem like a "little thing", but it's kinda cool having the "trophy", so I know where your coming from with that! If you didn't get a trophy for last year, you should certainly get one NOW to make up for it!! IMHO Ernie |
C'mon Ernie, we all know that you have given up you day job to concentrate solely on catching Jamo's post count. Your plot has been uncovered! He He.

post what????
hey, hey,
this has happened twice over the last few years, and it makes us feel younger, to not have the word senior attached. oops. it's still there i see! grumpy |
I'll have Brent look into it.

Senior status comes with 100 posts--and not donations. We all lost a bunch with that latest hiccup--I lost several hundred. It appears the oldest threads/posts got hit the most since it was an archives file problem. So, the longer you have been a member, the more you lost.

Lets see,,,,,,2300 give or take........coming up on half way, eh eh.

Ernie,
You got the gold cup thing because you contributed this year. Then why does it say contributor in 2002 when you point to it ? This is 2003 in the mainland. As for senior club member I thought that was your age and I should be a senior-senior memeber. :3DSMILE: By the way, are you driving the Excalibur any now that you have it back ? And do you have the DV built Cobra home yet ? Just nosey. Have a great day. Ron  :D :3DSMILE: |
Ernie, you bought your Excaliber back? Details, I'm very nosey! Are you coming to the fling?
|
Almost as soon as I sold the Excal I knew I had screwed up. I bugged the guy for months to sell it back to me. He finally relented AFTER I kicked in a few thou "profit" for him.
So why did I want it back so bad? It's a nightmare registering a "Cobra" over here. Even a "real" SAI alum Cobra (CSX4000 and up) will face the same hurdles (read that, CANNOT BE DONE LEGALLY)! Being as the Excal is a "real" car (DOT and FED approved), it's as easy as any other "real" car. As I want to be totally "legal" it was really the only option I had as far as owning a "Cobra" here in OAHU. No problem on the outer Islands, just Oahu. I am driving it now and grinning ear to ear. The Excal does however need some serious work. I drove and raced it HARD and sold it before making repairs. The new owner didn't do anything and drove it very little. The headers are cracked, the posi is shot, the rear shocks are gone, etc. You gonna "race, you gonna "break stuff". The Classic Roadster has 1400 miles on it, PERFECT condition, EXCELLENT DV built car!!!! It is at DV's place in Ohio. As I won't be shipping it here, the car is for sale ($31K, pics in my gallery, blue with white stripe car). The Fling??? Still don't know if I can get away from work this summer. It's our most busy time. Ernie |
Excaliber, Thanks I feel better now. :)

How to....
...boost your post count?
Start a thread along the lines of: Which is better: Big Blocks and small weenies or Small Blocks and big weenies. Shelbys aren't real cars, they are just smoke and mirrors I had an affair with a sheep, should I tell my priest since God already knows? I would rather have fiberglass because aluminum is too cold on winter mornings My kits manufacturer is: Not shipping, Answering phone calls, No lonegr at the previous address and the Post Office will not forward the mail to Grand Cayman Island without extra postage, I don't know which is correct, Righty Tighty or Righty Wrongo... Any of these types of posts will encourage a running dialog and PLENTY of chances to post witty and sage prose. Rick:3DSMILE: (Just stirrin' the pot) |
