Duane,
The chassis is coming home today from the frame shop. It is very straight and I'm very happy with the outcome. This guy is an artist. I'm actually getting excited again. Once I get it back in the shop, the chassis gets welded at several points to a frame table, we have one there, and then we skip-weld on the new shear panels. After all welding is done it will go to the paint shop and completely repainted. At that point it is ready for reassembly. The biggest pain will be remaking the right header. They took me a long time to make but by the end I was getting the hang of it.
On another note, Dave Biele has been a real encouragement during my little screw up. Having support makes all the difference especially when building or, oops, rebuilding a jbl. JBL Dave & Richard Hudgins have only been a phone call away and very supportive as well. Thanks
Yes, we JBL'rs are but a few, I think "brave" is reasonably accurate, brave souls.
Duane, I told you I'm stealing your color scheme.
Thanks, John
