Stripe Color - Help!
A little Help Here;
I'm thinking about stipping the cobra soon and then Clear Coating over it. I plan to have a vinyl graphics house stripe the car in tape form first, drive it this year and possibly over the winter get it done with paint.
The cobra is 2000 Mustang Chrome Yellow Gel-Coat. I know black is beautiful, some guys have gone white, but what about guardsman blue or racing green?, Other colors even!
Pic's would be great and ofcourse comments would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

Jim,
This won't be a lot of help but what some of us did when trying to decide on a stripe was go get a bunch of crape paper in different colors and just lay it out on the car and have people look at it. We tried different widths and color combinations and finally hit one that seemed great and that is what the car was painted with. The crape paper was cheap and we just taped it at the ends to get different views. You wouldn't be able to drive with it.

The answer is Spring Fling!
You'll likely never see more different combinations than at the Spring Fling in Ohio, your state! It was enormously helpful in deciding on my car's color, including how to do pipes and rollbar.
Anyone have something in the Gallery for Jim?

My Cobra is also yellow with a white stripe which I think comes on more subtle than a black stripe against yellow. A yellow car with a black stipe shouts you have a yellow car with a BLACK STRIPE Yellow with a black stripe aso says bumblebee. Of course this is my opinion. I have also seen a white stripe but then outlined with a black 1/8 or 1/4 tape outline. I really like many of the ghost stripes, which is done usually in the same color but one shade lighter than the cars color, pearl or metalflake really helps this out a lot. Come to DVSFIII and look at no two Cobras that look a like. I also think the Cobra looks better with, than without a stripe.

I will say that I've had a couple of yellow/black striped cobras behind me on the track and it was like being chased by wasps! Most unsettling!

Red and blue stripes, or even red, white, and blue stripes; both combinations would look nice! Ghost stripes look good, too!
