Here it is: Anybody got $4,613.00 I can have? I really, really need it!

I really do need $4,613.00

Ahh, no problem, I'll find it somewhere by Monday.

Until, I guess we will post just some of the total numbers for the Fling. At least what I have as of 5 PM today.

The most important number is Cobras!

DV Jr. went left, right up and down and back around. Jr. counted 282. I went right, left down and up and the other way around, and I counted 283!

Well, since I am obviously the oldest, and wisest, fattest, and slowest my count stands!

I am modestly, hereby declaring the official count at:

Keep in mind when we took this count I know of 3 Cobras that were in my shop having minor repairs, except one...darn superchargers!

Two that didn't arrive until late Saturday and two that couldn't make it all. If you aren't present, you do not get counted.

Pretty darned impressive Flingers. Pretty darned impressive. This ought to get "their" attention!

Remember DVSF? We wanted and hoped to raise $1,000.00 for Jenny? I secretly knew we were going to hit $1,500.00. Much to everyone's astonishment the number screamed to just over $33,000.00! My God, that was a moment.

Then DVSF-II, I wanted the unheard of amount of $50,000.00. OK, no one ever blamed me for thinking small!

Jenny and CF drew in just over $43,000.00. Even though I was a little down at that amount, it was an awesome amount.

Would all of you stop for a second and just seriously think about those numbers? $33,000.00 and $43,000.00 perspectively. Pretty amazing for such a small dedicated group of people.

Now you will see why, I will call everyone I know. Call in every favor ever owed, do anything I can do to raise $4,613.00 more by Monday. I've just gotta do it. Any body who has a couple bucks left over from the Fling want to send it in?

OK, you guessed it! We have surpassed the DV and the DV II amounts....................COMBINED!

Sorry Turk, I need that drum roll please?

You see? I just have to raise $4,613.00 by Monday.

Godspeed Jenny, we REALLY are rooting for you. You were the extra inspiration to get me to DVSFIII to put up with the Gasholes, and it worked. I felt great helping raise money for the tix.

Now if you could tell us that Cystic Fibrous no longer is inflicting little Jennys because of the monies that the Cobra community has collected over the past three years. I really missed our little girl that normally leads the parade at the DVSF events, get well Jenny. Just think if we would have had a full year to promote the Team Jenny Kirkham Cobra. Do you think we could get Ford to donate a new Ford GT for 2004 , it's the only way I could afford one. Plus I think we should try to get Bill Cosby to come to London and do his 200MPH comedy routine

No Sir we have never set up Pay-Pal. Maybe after this year we should. Trying to save every penny we can.The amount that CF will receive will be substantially less than our total gross of 95+K but still more than any of us dreamed of. The cost of the DVSF IV is staggering to me. $1000.00 alone for the shuttles Friday night. I hope everyone feels that that money was spent as well as I do.

It IS about Jenny, but it is about "US" too!

Hmm, I wonder of Mr Cosby would be willing to donate some time and a lot of expenses to attend a Fling. I sure would love to hear his 200 mph skit!

I hope everyone realizes what "we" have started? With the kind of people we have, the attention we are getting and the money we have raised, the word is getting out! We are waking up the giants. Our voice may be a whisper now, but it will soon become a ROAR.

Wow Ed,
As I scrolled down your first post I had a hunch what was coming, but when I actually read it chills went down my spine and a lump developed in my throat! There was really never a doubt that the "family" would outdo I & II.
It is an honor to know you DV, as well as all of the "flingers", and I'm proud to have had a small part in the success of DVSF III.
O.K., I'm gonna try to rub down these goosebumps now,

DV - Truly outstanding work, I can't wait for DVSF IV! How many raffle tickets were sold for the Kirkham? I need to start planning for the odds on the next cobra drawing...buying 2 tix was not enough this year!!! Regards Bluedog.
