suggestion: more integration and/or involvement by the Strawberry Festival people. Strew strawberries on the autox course? Where was the Strawberry queen (Jenny)? Where was the strawberry shortcake? Strawberry trophies to the winners of various events? Too much them vs us, ying with no yang. Get together with the town, not just the out-of-towners.

You want strawberries? You gotta move it to Watsonville. I represent the largest strawberry grower in the world (Coastal Berry). They ship more berries alone than any other state.
BTW, many of us went into the festival area and mingled with the folks. Nice people.;) |

What is the best kind of strawberries?
I was under the impression the best strawberries came from Central Florida, not California. Do you like the little ones or the ones that have morphed into the size of grapefruit? Doesb't fresh strawberries with real whipped cream sound good right about time? yummmmm! TURK |
