Texas Registration help....

I posted this on the TCC board, but I thought I may get more feedback here.

I was reading a post on the other forum and saw this; http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/vi/Misc/faq/engine.html
It looks like TexDOT is cracking down. Now what should I do? My car will be out of the paint shop in a few weeks (hopefully after four months) and will be ready to register. Any help would be appreciated.
